Re: So the big deal with RAPH800
I got it from Mobilitysite however
http://www.google.ca/search?client=f...=Google+Search *edit* would like to point out I'm only suggesting the posibility that it is being locked to the ID because I'm not so sure how they could otherwise succeed at achieving their target of the Touch Pro. ? "We are targeting a Milestone release for the first week of February, targeting the HTC touch pro." This is an open beta targeted at the touch pro, how will they accomplish that? https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Note...Windows_Mobile Last edited by citats; 01-31-2009 at 03:08 PM. |

Just read this thread over and over to make sure i didnbt miss anything ...First and formost i find it hard why Verisign was even involved ...they are not the creators of the application ... Now even though it does not say, im pretty sure that the picture mail in question here was released before sprint had the chance to make it public, otherwise why would sprint even care , since they released it publicly and free to everyone ...... The problem with these types of post is there is no outcome story .. even though there is no mension of any aftermath, you can see in the link below that he is well and still working on things, including porting apps from one phone to another ... http://www.nuerom.com/BlogEngine/author/no2chem.aspx My point is this , both examples posted on this thread ( even though very valid and scary ) are not the same as what is being talked about. the examples were (both times) that someone release applications that were not released even as beta ...this is a BIG no no..... We are talking about renaming the ROM's Device ID nothing more ..no one is asking to put illegal software on any ROM ... |

Re: So the big deal with RAPH800
IN CALL RECORDING....
This application was ported over form a GSM Diamond .. it was only suppose to work with the GSM diamond. It is now being used on CDMA Diamonds and is part of several Diamond custom ROMS provided here.. So my question is, why is is this OK but not BCR or even re-naming the device ID ?? |

IN CALL RECORDING is definitely WAREZ!! lol, just kidding, couldn't resist. BCR is considered warez, not because it wasnt made for cdma but because it's not a free app. The version floating around was extracted from a gsm phone which was paid for (licensed) by the carrier. Not sure about the in-call recording but dude, drop the issue w/ the Device ID, there is nothing wrong with changing the Device ID.
