.RSTG Custom Sprint Rom - TF3D Tweaked & Loaded - v3.7.05 + Kitchen 5/14/09

I am having issues using 'Internet Sharing' through Sprint. I've searched the forum and haven't found much information...

I keep getting this error:

"Error Code: 67
Error Code 67 Registration failure. Your PCS Visions username and/or password may be incorrect. Please try again"

Then after a few seconds this pops up from the taskbar:

Cannot Connect

The remote party has ended this connection.

Settings Dismiss

I went under Connection Settings and 'Manage existing connections'

I chose the preset which was
Sprint #777

on the third menu where it asks or User Name/Password/Domain they are all blank
* If i click advanced settings 'use server-assigned IP address' is selected, as well as 'Use software compression' and 'Use IP header compression'.
'Use slip' is not selected.


Any help would be great! My sister still lives in the stoneage with no internet, let alone wireless, so i brought my laptop over and couldn't watch this YouTube vid after we were all buzzed up... cuz it's pretty funny:

Edit: I am using ROM version 1.6.04 - I also chose to Update PRL and Update Profile, both of which seem to do nothing. It also won't let me browse with Opera often after I attempt the Internet Sharing. I have a few other issues too when i'm texting it will just freeze for a bit (dunno if it's because im using haptic or not), as well as just simply browsing touchflo it will freeze for a bit... but i'm much less concerned about these issues as I'm sure if I update it will be fine. Thanks again!!!!

Open up pocket internet explorer (to start a data session), and then

install the .cab \windows\OMC_PROD_SDK_HTC_SPRINT_v0.9.917.CAB.

Then select StartMenu - Settings - System and run "Update Profile".

That should set you up...

I went ahead and did exactly as you said. I started Internet Sharing, installed the .cab, updated profile, the phone seemed to reset (tho it stayed on), and it still didn't work. I did a soft reset and still the same error. Thank you for trying though, i really love this ROM!!! Any other suggestions?

**I am updating to ur latest ROM 1.7.09 now... maybe just a fresh install will fix it?!

1. install the .cab
2. click Start then choose internet explorer

3. wait for it to load a web page (leave it open)

4. Then select StartMenu - Settings - System and run "Update Profile".

If that doesn't work for you then reflash the stock rom and let customizations run.

I am going to reflash to the Stock Sprint ROM, and also to the 1.11.00F Sprint Radio (I was using the Telus Radio 1.04.05v). I hope this works, ill let you know, thanks!

OK, and I don't think the Update Profile will start it's own data connection, so open PIE to open a data session before running that. That will prevent that error 67.

I installed your Rom on my homies Diamond; and I must say I'm impressed. I have a TP though and I would like to know are you going to be making any roms for the Pro as well?

I don't have a tpro, but I'm going to put together a rom for it tomorrow. Based off stock and include all I have in this rom. Stay Tuned....
