my issue w/youtube seemed to be linked to the tachi dialer.

i can cook savage w/arrows (1.5) + fingerkb (extrasip) and youtube works great.

if i install the tachi canvas & dialer it will either give me "cannot play this video" error, or the vids will sometimes play, but w/o sound.

(i've just given up on the tachi dialer for the time being)

interesting, ive got the tachi canvas cooked in but havent enabled it since im using titanium right now instead of rhodium tf3d. im gonna switch to it and see if it breaks youtube for me.

What SYS tho? Because it's works great for me on 21812 until I select 2 SIPs, then it will not work for anything

indagroove and others have said they have both running simultaneously so chances are i'm wrong.

just thought there may be some common thread between them that could be causing the issue. figured i should give some feedback about the sip's.

just installed the tachi dialer via .cab and my youtube has lost sound again. ahwell, doesn't bother me too much as i don't use it very frequently.

calc - i've not jumped to 21815 but yesterday was your 21812 SYS

I think your YouTube issues likely have to do with too many modules. The 6.5 sys' have way more dlls modulated than 6.1 versions, as they are intended for a newer XIP (which we don't have for Diamond yet), which has more available slots for modules. You can only put so many modules into your rom before you run out of slots. If you run out of slots, it looks like YouTube may be at the end of the line, and getting bumped.

Personally I remove a bunch of folders from my sys (and therefore remove modules), and recmod a bunch of modules too. I'm guessing that the newer SIPs and Tachi Dialer simply has more modules than their predecessors, and therefore are causing the issue.

It doesn't seem to be as necessary to recmod as many dlls in TP roms, as that XIP has more available slots, though not as many as a native 6.5 XIP. That's ther reason that Might Mike had issues with ringtone corruption in his Diamond ROMs that wern't present in his TP roms. Once he recmodded more dlls in his Diamond sys, the issue went away.

May have been covered but... is there a way to retroactively add in Background4All after I've flashed or does it require a rebuild of the ROM?

You can cab install it. Search for it (rhodium background 4 all or the like) at xda. It is made by Showaco (so searching for threads created by him might help). Good luck .

For HD Manilla-- I was sure I'd checked the option in BuildOS but I suppose I didn't?

HD Manila is easy to find since I have it . It's attached.
