I am also excited about a shiny, polished version of the TP2 manila, but my 4.6 beta rom with the menu enhancements added and my new 5 tab layout is so freaking amazing I'm afraid to do anything to my phone right now!!! LOL

4.6 kitchen rocks!!!!! Everything scrolls better in 4.6!!!!!! WOOT!!!!!!

OK... got it out of my system now.

I know the 4.6 beta has the new TP2 manilla in it.
Is the SMS issue fixed? And the programs area, that work?

If so, I just might cook today.

I did not cook with the TP2 manila, although I am using the 4.6 kitchen. I stuck with the HD manila for now because the TP2 manila included was known to be an incomplete beta release, and only meant to be a preview.

The "actual" beta released by the author today, which is not included in Calc's kitchen yet, is known to fix some of the bugs in the "leaked" beta, but still has some issues.

Ultimately, I have not tried any of them yet because I am too happy with my latest rom with the HD manila and I am waiting for a less buggy release.

There are a couple threads detailing the bugs over in the Diamond section of the forum.

I've taken the CABs (yes, there are multiple CAB files you have to install) and OEMized them and am working through some of the bugs now. After installing with 4.5 Kitchen, 21038 SYS.... I see about the same memory usage as the HD Manila. I'm sure someone will create cleaner OEM's (I needed to do a few duplicate cleanups) in the very near future. I'm working on moving the necessary image QTC files and a few other enhancements (Panorama, etc.) to make it more to my liking.

i'm in the same boat, if i have enough time when i get home tonight i may look at trying to OEM up the cabs from the new release, but i have a sneaking suspicion that it's gonna be a little over my head.

There really aren't ... just a couple of niggly little things that seem to show up in most of the recent custom roms. Calcu does an excellent job in what he brings to the table. If you notice, many of the other chefs take his kitchen as a base, and then stir in some of their own stuff. I have been using 4.5 since it came out, without any hiccups. Go for it ... and enjoy!
