I have a problem I can't seem to correct guys. I have cooked WM 6.5 and 6.5.1 ROMs with Calkulin's kitchen using the 21055 XIP & SYS. For clarification, the taskbar icons for both builds are located in the upper right corner of the screen.

I lose the X (close) and OK icons. They are replaced with a white circle in the upper right corner. I have a black taskbar, so I believe this signifies the absence of these icons.

I am at my wits end about what could be causing this problem. If anyone could help I would very much appreciate it. If you require more information, please ask. Thanks!!

Your builds, xip, and sys should all match up when you create a new rom. Otherwise you will get all manner of odd stuff happening. If it's a 6.5 or 6.5.1 rom that you want, then use xip and sys that are for those builds. Hope this helps ...

the reason between the difference in numbers is that they haven't updated the XIP for that build. just make sure to make a 23051 folders as opposed to 23052 for you ROM (diam & shared).

the rhoduim dialer was in the 4.1 kitchen, guessing 4.2 isn't far off so you can just wait for that w/the fixes or pull them from the 4.1 kitchen & deal w/the minor bugs.

any 23xxx build after 23017 is 6.5.1. Take a look and see what you think. I've only had it on for an hour or two, but I'm going to flash a 6.5 rom, no idea what the compatibility issue is, but I use a program callled Mnotes that syncs with lotus notes client and it does not seem to work at all with 6.5.1
Nothing against this rom, just I don't have the technical ability to fix the issue and I need to have my calendar sync.

I also threw on magic button, just to check it works, it does so you can use X in the top r/h corner to close, but it covers the clock partially.

I am running the 081 build and it is quite smooth and has gotten rid of the My Location issue of not working that 071 had. Seems quite stable so far except for one thing that I cannot figure out...

Regardless of my power settings for screen shutting off backlight and shutting off altogether, it just simply shutsdown the screen in one minute. I have settings for 4 and 5 minutes respectively. Anyone have any ideas if something is causing the premature shut off?

once it's running and stuff is open in the background it overlays icons on the task bar so it looks like this.

it is a little, but I find it more usefull to have the X, the number of icons is show can be limited also, then it doesn't overlap the radio icon in the task bar.
