Using the blackstone volume oem seems to have fixed any issues i was having.

I never build with that ringtone plugin. I thought that was why I never got the ringtone issues ... until this build. we'll see how this new volume control goes. *fingers crossed*

UPDATE: New blackstone vol. control and the registry setting still won't hold and "ring and vibrate" goes back to just "ring" when soft reset.

was planning to switch to 6.5 here from fufu's 6.5, just one last question--wud i be able to install and run rhodium in this 6.5 rom, coz on fuf's it doesnt runs

ive finnaly got 21043 working fine...only problems is battery drain more than usual and my smartphonetracker wont work..everything else works fine..oh and my sprinttv wont work...too bad im not on sprint network

What oems did you cook into the rom?

I take more out than I leave in ... No manilla, no windowsLive, no menu or notification enhancements. I add groove's HD SIP and add Memmaid. No plugins, none of the extra audio stuff. I don't even add the 6.5 programs ... I use Mobile Shell, but the issue is there even before I load that.

If I don't make the registry change, the notification stays on ring/vibrate. I just stopped making the registry change.

does anyone else have an issue with the contacts screen not having the letter shortcuts at the side? i only have a scrollbar now.

*edit* The attached cab is the one I am trying to package up.

Your issue is in the registry. Export the rgu from the cab with cabmanager, and use that rgu istread of the one the packages creator made.

Cool, thanks. I used Mystery's OEM with a few changes... but I was wondering about that for future reference.
