This was the fix. Alzip wasn't completely unarchiving the kitchen. Downloaded WinRar, unarchived, all works well now.

Thanks all around. Also, might want to put on the first page to make sure and use WinRar to unpack. I tried 7-zip to unpack and had the same problem.

"X" and the "Ok" are tiny in 6.5 because they're from 6.1.

If you use a custom taskbar... make sure you use a 6.5 shellres file. I'm not sure if Icon OEM files are 6.1 or 6.5 in the kitchen (I use my own customized one).

If you see the transparent 4 colored rotating dots for the wait-cursor, then you're most likely using a 6.5 shellres... but if you are seeing the 4 colored rotating orb or the blue vista circle, then you probably have a 6.1 shellres.

Also, the shellres dll's also store the Start Menu image...

That just means you have more than a couple ruu_signed.nbh files in your RUU but you shouldn't be getting that error for that, are you running as Admin in Vista or have UC turned off?

yes running as admin and UAC is off
