Can someone help me? Thanks.
I am in the same boat as you. I'm not sure what happened to them.

I was on 2.5 for a long time. Battery life on 3.2 after normal usage for about 12 hours is noticeably better. 3.2 is just very daggone good.

My understanding is that "clear storage" only clears the internal storage (the 4 GB) but is not a real hard reset. For jrn6264, the process you described only performs a soft reset, you also need include the reset button under the cover for a hard reset.

Clear storage:

If you actually go through the process, you'll notice there's more than one option:

1) CLEAR STORAGE ONLY (this is the internal storage)
2) FORMAT INTERNAL STORAGE (this is your 4GB internal)
3) CLEAR STORAGE AND INTERNAL (this is both)

I use the clear storag all the time for a hard reset. I can't get my small hand in the right places to do the hard reset the other way.

Re: *UPDATED* [11-10-08] Juicy ROM 3.2 [SYS OS 5.2.19972 Build 19972.3.2] [UC]

I use my teeth to hard reset. I put the stylus in my teeth, hold down power+vol down+center enter button, and then poke the reset hole with the stylus in my teeth. Make sure you continue to hold the power, vol down, and center button.

If you do all of this and the phone vibrates like it is restarting, you dont have to wait for it to restart to try again, just make sure you are pressing all of the buttons firmly and hit the reset button again with the stylus until it enters the white screen.

I'm not sure if this can be done or not - but after installing a new ROM: is it possible to have the device "hard reset" after the customization? It does a normal soft reset anyway. I'm not sure what that process would entail....
