I do. That's what I meant by "my check-or-uncheck-the-boxes-in-BuildOS ROM." I was just looking to take the next step. And understanding a registry isn't something that's easily self-taught.

For all of you worried or concerned about lack of Sprint related functionality, definitely try building your own custom ROM. I took a look last night and was very surprised at how straight forward it is. These guys (Tobey especially, I think... Thanks man!) have done some amazing work.

The Kitchen How-To is a sticky in the Diamond Upgrades section. If anything is screwy, you can always use Juicy's ROM or stock while you continue tweaking your settings. Careful though, looks addictive. My wife just about kicked my *** last night. After we got home, I got online and decided to do some reading and maybe try it out. Then, right around 4:30am, she woke up and dragged me to bed!

Anyway, for now, I'm sticking with Juicy's ROM. He really knows what he's doing. Once I have some more free time, I hope to get something together that is customized just the way I want it.

I hear you man... It's a bit overwhelming. I wish I could create something as nice as Juicy's but with the Sprint "bloatware" I'm paying through the nose for!

Well, I hope someone can help me out. I flashed to the newest 3.1 ROM and then wanted to import my registry settings from the last ROM, 2.6. I didn't add anything much just a few tweaks like the 4 icons across in the settings tab, I set my Opera and IE cache to Internal Storage and I lastly I set the "Phone" soft button seen in the home screen to "Opera". Well, importing the Registry screwed things up as now my phone get stuck on the "Touch Diamond" screen showing ROM version at the bottom. I've tried to soft-reset, and hard reset, no good, I'm still stuck at this screen. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I would never.... NEVER reccomend restoring registries.

Put your phone into bootloader mode and reflash. If you look like this guy ... use "Search"

Thanks, I was just able to get it to hard reset... phew!... I was sweat'n for a few.

Does the 3.1 ROM include Roaming options in the Phone settings? I don't see it anymore, while it was there in the 2.x ROMs.
