Question regarding generic carrier...

Somewhere in this thread it was explained that carrier cabs are not required... So are the small differences then in a carrier-specific ROM and a carrier-generic ROM nothing to take note on (like the connection being listed as DATA dial-up instead of Sprint, not having the vision username in Device Information, etc.). No need for concerns regarding PAM for tethering? Thanks in advance!

Can someone help me... I try to hard reset and always go into the Bootloader screen. I've flashed back to original carrier ROM and I can hard reset just fine but when I flash to Juicy's ROM (which btw I love them) I cannot hard reset I alway got into Bootloader Unlocked. Anyone have any idea why this may be?
What I'm doing:
- Phone off
- push vol. down, pwr button & enter all at the same time while pushing the reset.

no ones trying to make you guys look like asses what so ever, but Juicy has already said himself in the other longer thread that hes not carrier tech support and he wont support individual carrier apps for the most part. He said he MIGHT consider it. The point was simply he cant support every app on all 3 or 4 CDMA Diamond carriers and still have a generic ROM, something has to give at some point. Also the other point was, in my opinion, going backwards to older packages to suffice the 5% of Sprint people who want Sprint TV (a deal break to them not to use his ROM) isnt exactly reasonable.

I don't know if this helps but this is how I hard reset:

Turn off phone
Hold down volume down (first)
Press and Hold Center Circle button
Press and hold power button
(NO RESET BUTTON NEEDED)


and it hard resets fine

I Just connect my Jawbone and after performe a phone call all the sounds on the phone are mute no ringer, no notifications, no sound on video. I have to soft reset to get all the sound back on the phone. Is anyone having this problem.

Ouch! Well put though. I just flashed 3.1 and so far so good! You tube works, fm radio works. The only thing I've noticed which I've noticed since stock rom is that active sync seems to start itself all the time. Does everyone else have this problem? I run quick menu so it shows up there.

Don't worry TC ... your all cool with me and I know you will do what you can to help anyone regaurdless of carrier. I just took Franks comment with a grain of salt as I hope you can. You guys do a great work and everyone should be greatful as am I.

actually you dont have to go backwards they found out how to fix it with the latest OEM package ...
