Exclamation Re: [ ROM ] [ KITCHEN ] JUICY 8 - Build 090723V (21828.5.0.60) [UC]

Just intalled this ROM and it's pretty slick.

BUT.... I use Pocket Informant and it behaves badly on this ROM. Sometimes it crashes, but worst of all, the Month Calendar view is missing things like Birthdays and other recurring appointments.

I'm asking for help here first because the only thing that changed, was the ROM. :/

Any thoughts?

EDIT: Forget it. I just found out that "Pocket Informant 8.x is not compatible with Windows Mobile 6.5. When Pocket Informant 9 comes out, it will be compatible."

Man that sucks.

i have heard rumors that the use of these 6.5 windows roms have a "self destruct" bulit in. (something to do with a internal counter in the os of 30-60 days). could this be the case with your juicy 8 rom?

giving up on Juicy 8, it was great at first but the intermittent freezing, instability and slow responsiveness is making me switch.

great battery life tho, hope to come back when it's more robust.

Re: [ ROM ] [ KITCHEN ] JUICY 8 - Build 090723V (21828.5.0.60) [UC]

Guys, I have a question. Is it confirmed that WM 6.5 in this ROM will stop working automatically? Can't really afford to have that happen, especially when I'm traveling. Second, it looks like Juicy has stopped working the ROM. Is that true? If so, is there another ROM that is worth looking at?

I've had a few times with a bit of freezing, but no major problems that I haven't already written about (scaling calendar in Day view). But, I've only been using it for about four days. Are these problems something that increased over time or did you experience them immediately after flashing?

Thanks.

Same here.
Is there anyway to remove the freezing. I have no idea what is causing it. It's random. (weird)

What ROM are you guys thinking of trying next?

But there are certain features I would like out of it.

For example, the on-screen keyboard with haptic feedback is fantastic. Where can I get that seperately as a CAB so that I can install it on whichever ROM I try next?

the only freezing ive experienced is intermittent 3-5 second lockups when typing, and im pretty sure thats b/c of the keyboard im using (not the one cooked in.) ive had zero issues with this latest build, though the previous two did cause problems
