Makes sense...the two people who have complained have louder voices than most...

Re: * UPDATED * [10/12/2008] JUICY ROM 2.5 [Full CE OS 5.2.20755][TELUS][Sprint]

Constant "low storage memory" errors drove me to take the plunge and install Juicy 2.5 and all I can say is
WOW!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, JUICY!

Everything went 99.9% smoothly. The only "glitch" was this morning, my device would not wake up. It didn't initially respond to a stylus soft-reset, so I had to do it again before it woke up and rebooted. I will keep an eye on that and see if it occurs again...

One question: I would like to run the TF3D Configuration tool to re-order the tabs to my liking. Has anyone seen any conflict with using that with this new ROM? Just want to make sure before proceeding - the device is working way too snappy, and I don't want to mess that up!

I can confirm that it works. I ran it on mine after reflashing to 2.5 and it was business as usual.

Re: * UPDATED * [10/12/2008] JUICY ROM 2.5 [Full CE OS 5.2.20755][TELUS][Sprint]

Noob here. I read this thread and didn't find satisfying answers. Please can someone answer these quesions. I have the sprint diamond and i loaded it with a bunch of my stuff

1. When i activated this phone, sprint had me put in some numbers into the phone, would i lose these numbers if i update the rom?
2. On the first page it says I have to unlock the phone. Is this necessary for the sprint diamond, or is this only for those sim card diamonds?
3. Does everyone who update the rom have to do the gps fix? or is this a rare case for some people only?
4. I have used spb backup to back up all the programs and files i have saved on my sprint rom , can i just restore them on the juicy rom, or do i have to reinstall everything

thanks for the help

1) You should be fine. The numbers are attached to the radio, you are just flashing the OS
2) Yes, you need to unlock your phone to flash a custom ROM (you only need to do this once and then you can flash as much as you like)
3) I have Sprint, and I had no problem with the GPS
4) You'll need to reinstall all of your programs

READ READ READ the instructions...then when you are done, READ READ READ them again. (this goes for the unlocking step as well)

People who get into trouble are the ones who don't fully understand what they are doing. Take your time and follow each step and you will be fine. The first time is always a little scary but once you've done it once or twice you will feel very comfortable with the process.
