I also get weather update errors (auto) but I can manually update.

I am on 2.41 and are also getting weather update errors it started today, off and on, currently its not working. So my guess is that their is something wrong with the update servers as it was working fine before today and I have not made any changes since I installed 2.41 over 2 weeks ago.

Weather is now updating. Appears to have been a server outage.

I am not sure myself, I think there is a Unique ID (GUID) that is dumped which won't go back into the same ROM. I have really only always used this with UC.

Also, I redit my XML file by hand based on the first page on the thread. It lets you specify a lot more options that what are dumped. A template is provided so it should be pretty easy to just replace stuff like UserID, password etc.

Probably a stupid question but do we put both the "SDConfig.txt" and the XML file in the root directory of Internal Storage for this auto-setup to work? I'm kind of confused about the XML file- I've got it set up and everything but I'm assuming it doesn't matter what you name it and such?

Try Sashimi... you don't have to edit anything. You just drop your cab files in a directory in the Sashimi folder.
