I was wondering the same thing. The official HTC patch only works on the stock 2.0 ROM and Ziggy's fix is really just a temporary one since it dates the incoming message based on phone time and not server time.

You can try a cab I made. I can't guarantee it will work with this old ROM since I make my own ROMs with my kitchen, but I doubt you'll get an update since mike has moved on to the tp2. If it messes anything up, just uninstall it. The cab should be uninstallable, but if it does not, just delete rilphone.dll from /windows with total commander. All the cab does is copy the rilphone.dll from the Sprint 2016 fix to /windows.

You'll need to undo the ziggy fix I would imagine. I did not use the fix and do not know what it does, so you're on your own there (hard reset would obviously undo it, but may be undesirable to you). Good luck.

Thanks, going to try it now!

EDIT: FYI Ziggy's fix just changes the registry to tell the phone to read the SMS time from the phone instead of the server stamp, so it's not really much of a fix but rather a temporary bandaid.

Yeah, but you'll need to change whatever his fix changed back to the original reg. entries. Otherwise, it will still just be based off of the phone time and not sms server time from what I understand.

Right. I'm definitely going to uninstall ziggy's fix first, I was just explaining what it was since you mentioned you weren't familiar with it

Re: [ROM] [FINAL] [06.26.09] MightyROM4 w. OEM BASE Included

Ok I need some help here, I am not a newb but I do this so infrequent It feels like it. I flashed the victor to my sprint diamond on fri and it is not working the phone works but nothing else and then locks up shortly after. Active sync will not sync either now. So I can not flash back. I live on the road and it is my only phone. I had to go buy a new phone because I needed a working phone for my trip. I now have all the info off the old one. I would rather fix this and return the new phone and wait for the next generation to come out.

I can get to the files through active sync but it is not syncing. I thought if i could flash to the OEM sprint and then exchange it that might be best. I have been having problems with the phone never ringing.

I know your gonna flame me and tell me to just go get an iphone that any idiot can run, But this is really costing me some coin for the new phone and new contract.

On top of which Sprint tells me that I have to pay extra for internet sharing on this TP2 that i bought. ugh! this sucks!

Flame away, just please help

Go to this page and download the "HTC Touch Diamond™ (Sprint) Maintenance Release – Version 2.00.651.7". Turn the phone off. Press and hold volume down. Press and hold the power button while still holding volume down. When you get the tri-color screen, connect phone to usb port on computer. Run the file that you downloaded to get the sprint ROM on there. Don't worry about trying to get an activesync connection, it will work fine in the bootloader mode (which is the mode you get to by holding vol. down and power button).
