I really like this rom, the splash screens area amazing! but i think its a little light no? it doesnt have a lot of apps

Meant to be that way...makes it more user customizable since most things are easily found and installed.

Ya iv just recently started using Sashimi and its wonderful!
It saves a ton of time setting up your phone after a flash.
It takes a while to get set up just the way you want but after you do its great.

ya, sashimi is great! I've used it for d long time now. with it and the backup/restore program of your choice the only thing I have to do after a hard reset is choose my ringtones from the drop down menu and my blue tooth settings.

anyway, couple things. Regarding links to old roms. First page, 3rd post, done. Regarding beta status, this rom is not really beta, well no more so than other versions. You just need to properly flash the rom. Which means you need to flash the shipped rom of your carrier first before your flash a new custom rom. This fixes 99% of all issues you mentioned including soft resets becoming hard resets. Anyway, hope this helps. Still have a copy of 3.9 myself! LOL. good luck.

Yeah, I don't flash often, because I am afraid of complications just like this one.

Thanks for your tips bro, I didnt know you are supposed to hard reset after a new rom OR that you have to flash stock before custom. Anyway I did some more experimenting and I found that I get the problem (soft reset hanging on boot) only after I do a PIMbackup restore on the r3born after a hard reset. Otherwise the soft resets seem fine. Not sure if my old pim backups are nto compatible with the new rom, but that shouldnt happen.

But I just installed stock rom and restored pimbackup and everything works fine and soft resets ok too. Now I will go try reborn again, see if it works.

Sorry if its a silly question, but I searched and couldn't find an answer. In this version of google maps, I can't seem to use the scroll wheel to zoom in, zooming out works just fine. The scroll wheel itself works fine in other applications. Any idea's, or am I missing something obvious?

P.S. Been running the ROM for just over a week, no ring tone issues so far

I've never been able to get the scroll-wheel/zoom to work in GoogleMaps. Zooming is done with the menu and tap or tap/hold.
