Re: How To: Kitchens

Well, I figured out how to add OEMs from other kitchens in to this one and finally got the ones that were screwing things up out.
Now I've gotten to the point where I can complete the flash of the ROM, but when it gets to the part where it is installing the Sprint customizations, it locks up when it throws an error:
The file :
\Windows\SprintTVChannels.xml
does not exist!
I then have to reset manually and the screen is all f'ed up. I'm sure it's because the customizations aren't completing.
In this last build, I didn't select SprintTV, but I did include all the other apps that indicated that they were needed for SprintTV. I figured I could just install SprintTV with one of the CABs I found.
I just need to know if there is something to select to make sure that file is there or something I can un-select or remove to not have it looked for so that the customization can complete.
Thanks.

In the rom building process where is the error being compiled at? If you look at your buildos afterwards it will tell you the last stage when the error occured, which was it and what other options were you including in your rom prior to the error?

This doesn't happend during the ROM building process. It happens after the reset once the ROM is flashed.
Once the screen is aligned and date/time set, you get the "Customization: It will automatically customize your device in 3 seconds". It starts doing it's thing, and very quickly I get the error.
I added some OEMs from Calcu's kitchen and it didn't do this before I did that, but I've flashed about six times tonight and keep getting this error.
-----------------
Got it.
Unselected the Sprint "extras" config and we're almost good. I get through the customization, but I still have a small white blank space in the upper left section of my Today screen. Right below the Start button. And SprintTV still doesn't work right. And the font on the Manila Home is not correct.

So, one of the minor problems with this kitchen is that there is no way that I've found to save my selections. Is there a text file created somewhere?
Every time I restart BuildOS, I start from scratch.
I did get a nicely working ROM- no more blank spaces and I used the older TF3D so I no longer have the KB issue that I was trying to rid myself of.

I know I added Advanced Config and some other Diamond config tools. Hearts. (Tried Kevtris, but couldn't get that to be included.) Blue Flip clock [unsuccessful]. psShutXP. Inbox Menu Extensibility. Not sure if there was anything else.

At the time, I didn't have anything in SecondToday as I knew I wasn't keeping the ROM.
Now, I have RescoToday plugin, PI8.5 and PhoneWeaver.

are you using calku's carrier config file? i think i had a similar problem w/that OEM, just use the carrier config from the kitchen and see if it works.
