If this does not work, try cooking first a very basic kitchen, it might be soemthing you are selecting.
Thanks. I just built a new rom without my own oems, and it seems to be booting fine. I'll have to see which one is causing issues.

Calcu said something about some of the stuff he wanted to put into the rom would not work using his OEM's but he didn't mention which ones.

Re: How To: Kitchens

I uploaded 1.04 and 2.02... they are made with the same compiler as 2.00 so they SHOULD work on vista64. If not.. problem isn't on my end anymore.

If it is your OEMs, you'll just have to go through one by one.

Re: How To: Kitchens

Tobey, if I were to try and do my own rom, what would I need to do to inject specific drivers and such? It's never been so much about the rom it's self that is hard. PPCKitchen more or less is just as easy but fine tuning/registry hacks and installing updated drivers are the real kicker. Or are some of the updated drivers (D3D specifically) already included in the new sys files?

Re: How To: Kitchens

The 2.01 kitchen and 20924 sys is working for me now. I don't understand why, though. When I removed my oem packages, it booted fine. But it still booted fine as I added each one. Weird.

I haven't done much modding to them (ghetto normally does). You can try replacing them yourself, if it works, it works.. if not, wait for someone else to do I guess.

Ideally.. if this is the latest SYS it would have the latest drivers though.

Cool, however, I think I will pass. Based on your instructions and now building 3 roms, teh first not booting..think I will leave it to the pro's. The last one I built booted up but would not run manila. Said tap here to run touchflo and when I did, it just kept bouncing back and forth then stopped telling me to tap to run touchflo. If I can't get something simple to work, no way I am messing around with anything more involved. Thanks for the help though.

EDIT:
3rd attempt got me a running rom. How can I tell what my previous options were? I was hoping that going back into the program would have brought up my last settings but seems thats not so.

Re: How To: Kitchens

Yo Acer, on the TF3D issue. On the Calcu kitchen you have to select the Base Manila files and once of the carrier Manila files for TF3D to work. If your looking for the standard black HTC manila, the Telus manila is just that with some of the extra tabs like Call History and Calendar.

I built my ROM with the Calcu kitchen and got a very smooth running and clean ROM on the 3rd try.

Ya I found out about the base Manila, thanks though. A question I have though is the clock. Do I need to pick one? I know that the standard Sprint manila does not have the flip clock so I would want to select it but for the Alltel manila...would I need to select one? If so which one is the right one? And how do I get the standard battery status icon versus the colored one? Speaking of battery, 1% or 5% or can I select none?

Sorry I know a lot of noob questions.

For clarification, the Calcu Kitchen = GFTC Kitchen but with a few of his own apps and his own modified sys. They are almost completely identical as they're based of this kitchen.
