I've added "rotate screen support", meaning you can reassign your long press call key to rotate the screen (settings>buttons>rotate screen). It will not do this, "automatically"

devileyezz, you are clearly doing something wrong or have a wrong setting some where.
you have an issue that is been debunked since rom v1.03 go back to the gps settings thread and start at step one. re trace your steps and verify your set up correctly. i have had absolutely zero issues with gps since i unlocked it on the telus rom.
and ive been running on roms that were pre release. flashed many different revs. still never had your issue.

Well my friend, what can I say.. everything is just meant to be peachy with you. Some people are not that peachy, cuz, well, it's just luck I guess.

Trust me when I say I'm not doing anything wrong. Also, don't take me otherwise, GPS does work, just not as exceptional as I thought it would be. Juicy said it won't work in my condo, so I guess that's that.

TELUS's rom was cab'd and QPST'd. Nothing worked after that. Then I did the recent GPS cab breakthru where the IPs had to match, and TC released a newer cab, and right before I flashed Juicy it worked outside my window.

This morning however, I'm waiting for the streetcar, and I don't get any sats for more than 60 seconds. Fire up Garmin XT, and wait for 30 secs, and it gets sats. Then, I close it and re-start GMaps, and there we go.. it works. In my perfect world, it would just work without needing Garmin XT to kiss Gmaps AS5 a little.

can you check to see what your setting are in the external gps buttin in the settings tab

I did make GPS changes in 1.07, although its not in the changelog

Any one have any issues turning on Data connection? Mine will not turn on I've done soft reset but it still wont turn on..... can't sent or receive email this way??? v1.07 on

k thats good,

when u get the call key do you see the gps icon in the top right. should be white circle with a cross in it. that means locked. if it is crossed out it means there is no lock

i was tethered all last night on 1.07 my data is working.

you may not have a good digital lock

Hi all,

This is my first post, but I have been reading for about a week. I just got the HTC Touch diamond, and like you all have noticed that it isnt perfect.

I have added a few cabs (Diamond Tweaks 0.5 and TF3D Config) to help with the battery issues and other functionality.

Since I am a total noob, I need to ask some dumb questions:

1) In all your versions of the Juicy rom, does 1.07 have all the functionality of 1.00?
2) In regards to GPS, I noticed that there was a tutorial on how to fix up the GPS settings and registry etc. but do I need to do this if I Flash the latest juicy rom? (v. 1.07)

3) Where can I learn more about cooking my own roms? I want to contribute. Does any formal programming language being used to cook these roms, or is it just based off of Microsoft languages (Asp.net etc.)?

4) Has anybody ever bricked their phone by flashing a non-carrier rom?
