Talking Re: How To: Unlocking, Relocking, and Flashing

justted to wanted to throw this in here. my laptop has always had problems syncing with my diamond. i know it has nothing to do with my phone cuz it works on every other computer ive synced it with. its something bout my usb drivers is all i can guess, cuz ive tried multiple os. my simptoms are when trying to update roms using ruu and copyin files, the sync will just end(disconect). anyhow so when upgrading roms i always had to flash from the internal storage. which at times was aggrivating cuz of havin to download the rom directly to the phone and at times finding out it was a self extracting file not a rar. but on to my point, i found out if u hook it up usb with it off and put it into the tri color mode(hold down, press and hold the power button) and wait a minute it will say "usb" at the bottom. at this point run the ruu on ur computer and after followin the ruu steps the rom will update with no problems. now i only posted this cuz i havent seen this anywhere and i know others have had the same problem i have. the only solution ive seen anywhere is use another computer. well heres another option. i hope it helps someone. maybe itll make its way to the first page.

Interesting! That might be what I was thinking about. The site doesn't look familiar, but the output is approximately what I was thinking of.

Re: How To: Unlocking, Relocking, and Flashing

The USB connection recently died on my diamond. I have confirmed this via thorough testing and Bell has agreed to replace my device. Before I send it back I would like to flash back to the stock Bell ROM and relock the device. Without a USB connection, I can flash by putting the ROM on the SC, but does anyone know how to relock the phone without a USB connection?

I have searched this thread and not found anyone with a similar problem.

Re: How To: Unlocking, Relocking, and Flashing

You can try extracting the relocking ROM from the exe, but I don't think it can be flashed from internal storage.

Don't worry about it, they don't know to check

Re: How To: Unlocking, Relocking, and Flashing

Does anyone have a link to the latest Shipped Sprint Rom without the radio?
I'm not using the Sprint radio 1.11.00f.
I want to flash to stock between flashing new roms, but I don't want to have to flash the radio each time.

Thanks.

Re: How To: Unlocking, Relocking, and Flashing

A couple questions:

1.I have an HTC Diamond through Altell. This should be a CDMA right? How do I know for sure?

2.After unlocking, will it still be connected and everything to my phone number so I can make calls, get on the internet, text, etc, or do I have to get it reconnected somehow?

3.One objective for unlocking and adding ROM is to make my phone less laggy, which I'm sure will be accomplished. The MAIN goal though is to improve battery life, will MightyRom increase my battery life at all?

Thanks, I'm a noob and want to make sure this is done right. =)
