I'm using 2018-21914 and it would be perfect for me....but the D-pad is not working properly. Specifically, pressing Up and Enter is hit or miss......and mostly miss. I've tried reflashing several times and the problem persists.
I've used so many ROMs over the past year and half and I think I'd settle on this one if this can be resolved.
Do you have any advice?
Do you have a ROM similar to this one that is only Titanium with no Sense?
That would be even sweeter.

Well I just flashed 21895, and I am happy to have the additional memory space, but the d-pad problem remains. Poo.
I am still going to use this ROM, but I am going to hold off loading everything I have in hopes that you can offer some sort of solution or workaround.

I flashed the stock Sprint ROM earlier this evening and the d-pad worked flawlessly.

The flashing limits i've seen are around 1000. I'm probably at about 20 for this particular handset. I've had my Diamond replaced a few times.

The D-pad issue is not specific to a program. It is system-wide. If we have to pick a program then I'd have to pick the OS....because it is consistently faulty in every program.

Flash to another ROM and the D-pad works as it should.

But to be more specific, I rarely get a response from my phone when I press Up. I never get a response when I press Enter. It is funny, I have a touch phone, but never realized how often I use the hardware buttons.

It has to be a driver issue (using terms from extensive desktop OS troubleshooting experience).......maybe driver isn't the right word, but there is something in this ROM that is responsible for the problem.

[by the way, i wasnt responding to air, someone wrote a post asking questions that i was responding to....and now the post is gone.

It is more fun for people to think you were talking to yourself.

Don't know what I did with the post. Have tried the d-pad on the rom I am running and had some issues with pressing up. Adjusted how I press it and it consistently works to go up on the start menu. Will try the titanium rom if u continue to have problems. I think one way or the other the d-pad on the diamond has a poor design. Think at least in my case it is the up key surface being narrow that is giving me grief.

Wow, I won't be doing that. Especially since my D-Pad works fine with other ROMs.

I guess I just have to decide if a working D-Pad is more important to me than using a ROM I might prefer over all others.

I do agree that the D-Pad's design is not great....but when it is working properly it still is very useful for me. I am not sure I can ever get a phone that has no D-Pad.

But who knows, if I decide to stick with this ROM and bypass the D-Pad issue maybe I'll change my mind.

I was really hoping the cook would have a solution of some sort or be able to recook with a different ingredient that allows my D-Pad to work properly.

by the way, I hate TouchFlo and Sense...but this is the first I've seen of this particular HTC dialer....and I like it better than any I've used before.

Okay, I'll stick with the one i have of yours with it until a stable build can be made. I've tried many different roms. I really dig yours the most. for the most part very stable and plenty of space left over. I would love an rss tab but I really like max sense. So I'll wait for corresponding versions. I seriously hope you continue to make roms for us diamond users as I simply cannot afford a new phone any time soon for personal reasons and and I've found a lot of new uses with roms on here. Since OMJ has left us and NRG is slow and possibly leaving us soon your new rom brings me hope for more development on diamonds. Keep up the good work, we really appreciate it. I wish I could donate but just haven't got the extra cash. also, i clicked the thanks button.
