im being very serious when i say this:
If i get the tp i will give anyone for free and free shipping a very good condition katana lx (great for back up or great if you have kids, works very well). im that desperate to get rid of the mogul poc way too many issues with it. but ill let you guys know what happens. if i get it i will post here, if anyone wants the katana be the first to pm me.

would assume they would have to. the touch was discontinued and really the only replacement would be the diamond.

not sure but a friend of mine went to a repair center because he was having issues with his touch, they couldnt fix it so they gave him a new touch diamond.

Some of us who went through Asurion are sprint customers who have physical damage to the phone. If you don't meet those regulations when you start the self service claim, they come back to bite you in the ***, and by that, i mean your wallet.

If you have tep (total equipment protection) insurance you go trough Asurion to make a claim. I made a claim today and was upgraded to the touch pro from the mogul, since its still on backorder. good luck

I ordered one on Friday and it arrived last night. I had a mogul with a spazzing data port. Even if I get charged the $75 no defect fee it's worth it.

Where is the status checker site for our ER###### claims?

When I go to the Asurion website it says I need to provide further information and to call a number. Is that true?

yea i got that too, you have to fill out an affidavit and copy ur ID and fax it back then they call you in 24-48 hrs to further process ur claim

Holy crap asurion is fast. Placed my claim last night around 5-6pm central time. Just looked at the tracking number and the TP has been delivered. Wow, 14-15 hour delivery time. Thanks to everyone here who provided great and valuable information.

well i just got a tracking number and its out for delivery today. the package weighs 3.40 lbs. could it be a tp or a replacement mogul?? i wont know till i get the package and open it. i will keep you posted

I called asurion at 800-584-3666, went through the automated menus until i got to a service rep. I explained my issues to her and that sprint couldn't fix my broken phone. She offered me the TP and i accepted. I gave her my new address and she said all was well and that i would receive it in 1-2 days. That's basically it. The whole process took less than 10 minutes.

i read on here lastnight that someone did the self exchange but it offered them the mogul. is the mogul back in stock or are they still back ordered?

i sure hope they're not back on order, i hate this phone, its a piece of junk. wish i didnt have to fill out this damn affidavit and waste time faxing it back and waiting for a response

usually when you fax it, give them an hour or so then call them back. thats what i did a while back

The weight on mine was listed at 1.80lbs. I was told by asurion they were shipping me a touch pro. It's been delivered, but i can't get a hold of my wife to see what was in the package. Guess i may have to head home for lunch :)

i just got off the phone with a mny sprint reps to find out that the tps are on backorder and as soon as they get them in their gonna send me one. she kept tryin to get me to go througth asurion and pay 50 for it. screw it if ive lasted this long with my mogul screwin up i can last a couple more weeks.

Mine is out for delivery with a listed weight of 3.4 lbs. I won't be home until late to confirm what it is I got, but it was listed as a TP in the confirmation. Here's hoping!

This might be answered already but 23 pages is alot to read through. Do we know if this is being done for the vx6800 as well? This girl's getting a bit worn down and could really stand for an upgrade. Totally willing to pay the $50, even if it is for a gimped model.

ER##### claims are not through Asurion. You should call Sprint customer service to confirm your order. There is a status check page for ER#####, too, but it was never updated for me before the product was shipped.

For returning stuff, what do I need to return? Just the phone itself, or battery/micro SD included, etc?

Sprint will be fine with just getting back the phone and one battery. You can send other items back at your own discretion.

Most of us received a UPS tracking # after e-mailing e-care with the ERxxxxx confirmation number and directly asking the status of the shipment. Good luck!

I submitted my Sprint phone replacement order at 11:00a CST on 01/19, got the confirmation email at 11:05a CST on 01/19, and received the UPS package at 10:55a CST on 01/20. In less than 24 hours Sprint got me a new Touch Pro with an additional battery.

I did not get any follow-up email indicating the phone had shipped. Before I received the package this morning I sent ecare an email requesting the latest status, to which I have not yet received any reply - but at this point I don't think it matters!

Asurion is now issuing TP replacements as well. You need to specify that two key features of the Mogul are ONLY present in the TP - Keyboard and SD card slot. Mogul inventory appears to be depleted. Mogul owners have hit a very lucky time where mogul stock doesn't seem to exist anymore. Dont settle for a Touch Diamond or a Treo 800w. I was very close to using a claim to remedy my defect.

However, I got mine swapped the old fashioned way using TEP as leverage over the phone. It Took a LONG time and a lot of talking. It is basically trial by error until you find an escalated tech or supervisor who wants to actually make something happen. I must have talked with 6 techs over 2 days and multiple hours. I have an Advance Exchange issued and my TP (new) should be here in 2-3 days. I return my mogul with the replacement kit and I have 15 days to do so (as usual).

To be honest, your best bet is to take your defective phone to a service center, show a defect, have them validate its real, then they will issue you a TP with ease. There is really no Mogul inventory left. The only reason I didnt do this was because there is no Authorized repair/service center within 2 hrs of me and I wasn't going to make that drive when its basically the exact same process over the phone.

I've been emailing ecare back and forth for the past 3 hours. They don't seem to know what I'm talking about and give me an order # regarding my secondary line (which just so happens to be a Touch Pro). I placed the order yesterday 1/19/2009. They referred me to my secondary line order for the touch pro on 11/17/2008... I don't know why or how that even happened... do they not check or are too lazy to look for information? I even stated the damn date in every email. Maybe it's my fault for just emailing ecare (without the numbers) which is just Sprint Customer Service... I've now included ecare1 and ecare2 which are Sprint Customer Solutions... And I don't know why, but it seems that the idiots that don't seem to know anything in Sprint... always turn out to be guys? Everyone got instant responses with actual answers when answered my females. Here's to hoping that whoever answers my 3rd-4th email is of the female gender and knows what the hell is going on since these other idiots don't.

I just tried the advanced replacement and got this. Maybe its good news that I qualify but I need to wait for stock. I thought about trying to find a store with them in stock.

No. I even emailed eCare and advanced exchange escalation, but never got reply. I found out shipping # etc by calling Sprint customer service.

well as i stated in my previous post , sprint stated that they were gonna send me one b.c they were on backorder.... bull*hit! i just got my touch pro TODAY. and i thought the lady i talked to was sweet. see sprint has no clue what their doing.. its the most organized cluster*uck of a company. after all i went through being on hold and repeating myself over and over to find out i wouldnt get it for a while. i now get to go play with my touch pro when i get home. i wonder if they send me another one... hmmmmm gL ppl waiting.
