I don't think there's any correlation between the shipping weight and what you actually get. Hope you get a TP though. Keep your fingers crossed for me as well, mine's 3.4 lbs and out for delivery as well.

hey guys, what if i dont have insurance, you think they would charge me full price for the touch pro?? My mogul has some issues and i would like to upgrade. Because when i did the exchange online it said i would get the touch pro kit for 55$ but with any other taxes applied, how much you guys think they will charge??? Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Good luck MH, I feel like a freakin expectant father, I'm so damn nervous! Gotta remind myself it is only a phone! I am beginning to think the weight difference is just inaccurate postal scales. However, MH I do think you got the extra battery. A few tenths of a pound = scales are off, a pound heavier= extra battery for the 6850.

I too am waiting anxiously for my TP that is "out for delivery" even though it wasn't scheduled to be here until tomorrow. My question though is what radio and stock rom is everyone flashing back to (and locking of course)? I want to make sure I'm not flashing the wrong stuff to it lol.

What did you find out? I am wondering the same thing, I have had my phone for right at a year and it is having some issues. I don't have the insurance either. I am debating though on waiting for a Palm Pre or an Android phone if Sprint gets one.

Don't worry about the weight of the packages, they are not going to all weight the same. A very, very select few ppl (about 2) received a replacement Mogul but everyone else received a Touch Pro no matter what the weight was.

For you guys without insurance, Only a guess...but I think you could still get one If your Mogul is still under factory warranty. (1 year). If it is, file an online self-service claim and see what it says. The Sprint store techs are more likely to help if u have insurance, so i'd avoid them, but as long as your esn shows your phone under warranty, the online method will probably have a better chance of getting a TP. imo

So far I havemt received any feed back but im hoping to hear something soon. I brought the phone into my local sprint store and the asked if I had insuranc and I said no... so they told me to take it to a repair center and it would cost round 130 and it would "most likely" be replaced with a Touch Pro but I want to be certain and also be ablee to hold on to the mogul until I get it. And do they send you a sim card with the Pro and then you go get it activated at your local store ot how does that work???

There's no sim cards on Sprint. You can active online, over the phone or go to a store.

oh ok, I saw there was a sim slot on this device so I thought it was a new thing they were doing, thanks for letting me know, so now all I have to figure out is how much more it will cost because I do not have insurance.

Just received my Touch Pro and I think I am in love! :mrgreen: I used the self service link on the 24th, told them the problems I have been having, and received it today (a day earlier then it was scheduled). You guys won't be disappointed. Came new in box with all accessories and extra battery. Didn't go directly through Acsurion (think that's the name) like some others did.

I just followed the link to request a replacement phone on Sprint's website. I filled out the information and it noticed that I had the Total Equipment Protection policy. So, I was told at the end that I would be billed $119.99 for the phone or need to contact Asurion about my issues.
Did everyone else pay $119.99?
Have any of you who have exchanged your Moguls for TP used Asurion to do that?

Just got mine in the mail today! One day early according to UPS's website!

My package weighed 3.4lbs and contained a BNIB TP and extra battery.

I can confirm that the 2.2lbs shipment is a touch pro. my tracking said 2.2lbs and the acutal package said 3lbs. it came with the retail box and an extra battery. dont worry folks ur tp is coming

Just filed via the self replacement site and a TP was noted to be issued as a replacment. I did not, however, see where I could track the ticket number they issued me. ES*********.. Any suggestions?

Also, I did not have to pay the $55 deductible because I had my phone for over a year.

I wonder if they're basing this 1-year period of time on when you got your first Mogul. I got my first one well over a year ago. Going on 2 years now. I got a replacement Mogul less than a year ago due to buttons not working anymore. I'll call Asurion and get the ball rolling. I don't mind spending $55 to get a TP.

For everyone who has their's already: Is it worth the switch? I like the FM receiver that's built-in. Is it lacking anything that the Mogul had?

Your ES#####'s can be tracked through a call to Tech support, who can then give you the UPS tracking # and estimated arrival date. This is all covered by me in the first part of the thread. I was one of the early ones with this and am enjoying my T PRO very much after a few tweaks. It does need a little help becoming the phone you all want just out of the box.

There was no $55 in the beginning. Check out the TP essentials thread. I will get you on the way to a great phone. GPS software is an issue I had to work on. Visual Voicemail is great, voice command is cool too.

Some of you guys make this sound so easy. I have been trying to get Bell to trade-in my 6800 for a TP for weeks without success. Bell doesn't seem to have a "Self Service" section on their website - at least not for hardware replacement. So we have to work extra hard and use advanced Social Engineering techniques to get the smallest task done.

Do any of you have suggestions on how to "engineer" a CSR at Bell to accept a trade-in? So far I have tried threatening to go public that Bell is hindering 6800 users from using GPS. That didn't work. Now I am reporting a faulty device saying it is slow, hangs, and reboots randomaly. Any other suggestions?

Thank you so much for confirming the 2.2lb package is a TP, Mass! I've had lingering doubts about it all day, as I wait for my UPS guy (who normally shows up at 7pm est as his last stop of the day...ugggh) Makes me breathe a little easier. I dropped you a big thanks for that one. I will catch everyone who made this process much more bearable with "thanks" after I get off my chair that is lined with pins and needles.

WOOHOO...It's here and it is beauutifull! So the 2.2lb box = New in Retail Box - Touch Pro with all advertised accessories and Yes it does come with the extra battery. I am stoked! I gotta go play, but I'll be back in bit!
