i did it 3 times with the same results.

something i did wrong maybe? i did do a soft reset after the install and all that also. so what now should i do?
I think you are thinking of sMMS, make sure you read the directions first. You have to add your Picture Mail account info to the app first. And sMMS is not a full MMS client, yet.

Re: Sprint and MMS: It's coming!

I don't really understand the article. It says sprint is working with MS to add/resolve the MMS issue. All the GSM based WM phones I've used all had MMS and they worked fine. T-Mobile was one of them. MMS worked flawlessly. Is it a CDMA and WM issue?

Basically Sprint and only Sprint blocked PDA users from using MMS oh their phones. Now after a bunch of emails and conplaints Sprint says that they are going to offer MMS again for PDA users.

If you do a search you'll fine plenty of info on the subject.

Why post the same question again? It's even been answered already...

Actually, Sprint has not said that they are working on MMS for WM phones. They are working on PictureMail, which is not quite the same thing. For example, PictureMail does not deliver the picture to the WM device, but delivers a text message containing a link to the picture posted on a web site. It would probably be less expensive and less maintenance in the long run, as well as more satisfying to the users, if Sprint were to abandon the proprietary PictureMail product and just license MMS; but at least having PictureMail for WM devices is a start.

There may be a continuing demand for the sMMS application if it can mimic MMS better than PictureMail does.

John Garcia : We're working with Microsoft to build a PictureMail application that will work on their Windows product to give you a similar experience as our other products. As some of you may be aware, currently, you can actually do this on a Windows product, but you have to do it through e-mail or Bluetooth. We realize this is cumbersome. We're working to enhance this for you soon.

From "Buzz About CTIA" with Sprint's acting Chief Marketing Officer John Garcia

Not exactly accurate, MMS is a technology not a product. Picture Mail is the Graphical User Interface(GUI) for MMS. Just like ArcSofts MMS is a generic GUI for MMS, just that sprints has a web-based version. Sprint Brands their MMS service as Picture Mail, which has a Java/Midlet Client for "Normal" phones. For sprint to have the ability to send MMS messages they have to have a MMS Gateway/Server. What I understand is that MS and RIM is helping create a GUI/Client that will use Webservices to interface with Sprints MMS service also known as Picture Mail.

As far as sMMS, it will try to keep it around as long as possible. Hopefully long after Sprint releases their version and I will attempt to offer a better user Experience, unless MS steals my concept as they usually do.

If the Sprint implementation of PictureMail on the WM devices means that we will be able to send an MMS message from our Sprint WM device, and receive an MMS message on our Sprint WM device without the need to navigate to a webpage containing the picture, then I can see where PictureMail is a GUI to MMS. If we still receive an SMS message with a link to a picture on a website, then it is not a GUI to MMS, but a conversion of MMS to a different technology.

Re: Sprint and MMS: It's coming!

Will us Mogulites get official Sprint TV software in the 6.1 upgrade as well? So we don't have to keep using the hacked version that works sometime, doesn't the other .........
