Re: Sprint and MMS: It's coming!

I feel like the square peg here...I hardly know what any of this means but I catch on quick and I'll get it all eventually.

But for all I know I thought I could only receive picturemail but couldn't send it myself. Which always seemed like such a bummer.

glad they're working on this

Exclamation Re: Sprint and MMS: It's coming!

OK Here is Sprints Official response to the MMS issue. posted on BAW
http://forums.buzzaboutwireless.com/....id=4014#M4014

Quote:
Sprint would like to provide an update in response to recent inquiries about sending pictures from Sprint’s Windows Mobile devices to other mobile phones. Currently Sprint’s Windows Mobile devices support sending/receiving pictures between any valid email address and receiving Sprint Picture Mail pictures from mobile phones via text messaging. Picture Mail pictures received via text messaging appear as a URL that is viewable from the Windows Mobile device’s Web browser. Sprint currently does not offer the capability to send pictures to other mobile phones by entering the mobile number to share photos. To address this issue, we are currently working on two solutions:
  1. We expect to offer a free Picture Mail software download later this year that will enable all customers with existing Windows Mobile 6 devices to send pictures to other mobile phone numbers (normal usage fees will apply).
  2. Beginning later this year, all future Windows Mobile device models from Sprint will be preloaded with the full Picture Mail application.
In the interim we would like to remind customers that pictures can be shared from Windows Mobile devices to any email account via the Options/Send menu on the device. Pictures can also be shared from Windows Mobile devices through the use of Bluetooth, beaming and synchronization capabilities, and removable memory cards. We will continue to communicate updates here as the exact timelines and solutions are finalized.

Re: Sprint and MMS: It's coming!

Yeah. And I am not sure of anyone else here, but I Am getting Blue in the Face from holding my breath for so long.
Luckily SomeGuy has given us all the oxygen we can handle for the moment( and a most opportune moment no less ).
We can Do better than a company that has BILLIONS to spend; yes millions on developing software, yet we still get junk in response to our requests. It take a collective outcry to make them even notice a problem.
I for one would say to heeeyyylll with them if their SERO plan wasn't so yummy.
Ironic in a way as I left once a year ago saying that they'd have to give me everything free to make me come back( Insert Laugh Track Here).

Re: Sprint and MMS: It's coming!

You sound like my Aunt who still had her Windows 95 PC until this past Christmas... No offense, mind you, it just sounds like a relatively silly gripe, especially since I'm sure that once it's out people here or at XDA will find ways of making it work.

Besides, they said it would be made available for 6.0 users, that doesn't imply it will only work with 6.0.
