by then, my phone's grainy camera wont take good pictures worth sending anymore..

are you kidding me? thats like complaing that your old 1x phone wont send texts while roaming and the new phones do. im sure there is a reason that it wont work with wm5..

ive got the 6700 and im pretty happy with the phone... but ive had nothing but problems with the service...

I think Ill wait for the Samsung Omnia, might take a while, but I got all the crazy folks here and at xda that will keep me busy till then.

But luckily sMMS is an excellent alternative and free for basic functionality. It's one of the few programs I've donated for in the past few years.

MMS is currently targeted for completion Mid Oct with a Nov 2nd launch... Now that Both Wm6.1 updates are out they are pulling this in or atleast trying to.

Hope this gives a little bit of a light at the end of the tunnel

so in the meantime , what are the extensions to send things to other carriers? i have sprint/mogul and the only people who get what i send are on verizon. so i know verizon is####@vzwpix.com, what about nextel or at&t, tmobile, and sprint for that matter?

I called sprint tech support about this same issue and inquired about MMS. They told me about a work around that you mentioned.. (thre cell number of the reciever @ their carrier's picture email) The tech said she would send me an e-mail she recieved with all the available carriers picture mail suffix's.. Still waiting for it.. If it ever comes ill post em.. Otherwise call Sprint Tech support and get em.. The tech said everyone was sent the codes because so many PPC owners were calling asking about pic mail support.. LET'S KEEP BUGGING SPRINT!!! ......... it might just be working...

Just wondering where you got this information.. I talked to a teir2 tech support about his and they said they arent told anything untill the day before something is released.. just to give them time to familarize themselfs with it before the calls come in.. So how did you come by this information with specific dates?? Anyone can make up a date and say they heard it was gonna happen then.. I hope you didnt hear it from one of those types.. THanks!
