Re: do i qualify for an airwave ?
Call Sprint... you'll eventually be transferred to Account Services (aka Retentions), although the the person who transferred me called it "Financial Services" for some reason. They may require you to perform a reset and maybe go into a store to make sure that there is nothing wrong with the phone.
The price for the Airave and monthly fees will be waived as a "retentions credit" if you can demonstrate that you're not receiving signal where you live. They might say that it takes 7-10 business days but it typically takes 2-3. |

Re: do i qualify for an airwave ?
How long have you been a Sprint customer? Just tell them that if you need separate service to be able to use your phone in your home, you see no need to keep paying Sprint.
Keep being very polite and tell them you are willing to pay an extra $5/mo for Airave service if necessary, eventually you will get someone who is willing to send one out for you.

try calling from the home location. try the poorest area of the apartment and let the call drop while your talking to the. they can tell if its a dropped call or not. maybe even start the call from outside where you get good service then walk inside halfway through the call.

Re: do i qualify for an airwave ?
I would just call retentions, whatever the phone prompts are and when they ask you why and if it's your first call regarding this issue tell them no, it's not your first time trying to rectify the problem and that you're canceling because you have no service, like mentioned above. Why should you pay for two phones. But be nice and not threatening to them, they will get you the airrave, but as Darren mentioned, you do need high speed internet for it to work, and a window somewhere near by for a GPS signal. I've never heard of them not giving it to a long term customer who claims to have bad service inside the house. keep us posted.
