Re: Simple Guide 2012 Android on SD card! FLASH 11, 4 Steps, TP2 DL lnks (FRX07.1)

I enjoyed my TP2 on Android but now it's time for me to upgrade so this week I will be getting a Boost Mobile ZTE Warp. I want to say thanks for all of this information and a good experience I've had with my old TP2. It is time to ween away from the keypad and with a full touch screen. I am also unsubscribing myself from this thread. Take care everyone and God bless!

More appropriately, good riddance. Now she can drive the people in the ZTE threads nuts with questions to which answers have already been posted.

FRX07.1, or GBX0C? If FRX, I'm not sure why you wouldn't get any sound... Please specify which build in particular you're trying.

Re: Simple Guide 2012 Android on SD card! FLASH 11, 4 Steps, TP2 DL lnks (FRX07.1)

Don't know if anyone else has this problem, but I'm getting rather excessive battery drain. The back of my Touch Pro 2 is always warm (not hot, but definitely warmer than when using WinMo).

Is there a tweak or something I can do to save power when it's on standby? I have it checking email every 15 minutes, so nothing excessive.

Do you have any other apps auto syncing? Why don't you use push for mail? That way the phone never has to go out and "check" for mail at a set interval.

As for drain, it's expected the drain is going to be worse than WinMo - first off, it's a port. I'm sure there's things we're doing that could be done more efficiently - or perhaps a piece of hardware we're not properly spooling down. Heck, before we had panel collapse the phone would die in just a few hours.

With that said, I know you don't want to hear this but the #1 thing to improve battery life? Disable data when not in use. Your battery life will skyrocket. The Speed Improvements thread has some tips that may or may not help with battery life, just general application management tips really that could help with life.

This thread is for FroYo (FRX). You downloaded Gingerbread (GBX).

You should read the first post of the GBX thread.

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/android-tp...3-7-build.html

It tells you how to do things. Like copy CSV files. Kinda necessary for sound in this (TESTING) build. Yes, it's still in testing - mainly because of the need to copy the CSV files to the root of your card.
