Re: Simple Guide 11/11 Android on SD card! 4 Easy Steps (15 min): TP2 DL lnks (FRX07
Ok guys, I totally agree with both of you. I normally do my research but I kind of gotten too eager to even find the correct answer. I know it's just common sense to do a search. That's why about the wifi thing, I did see some things on how to fix it but did not understand it. That's why I had to ask you guys. Another thing was I appologize for acting coocoo inboxing too much. That was very silly. But the update on my tp2 on Android, I decided to keep the frx07.1 because I don't like the light thing staying on. I will be downloading the ConnectBot like I am doing now, not realizing I didn't read the very last end of Arrrgggh's post he told me before, because I thought it was part of his signature or something. I already put wifi ace on there and it's not doing anything. I will do the terminal thing and this should work. Will keep you guys posted. Thanks so much guys for being such a help. :)

Also, if wifi worked before, you shouldn't need the wifi-nvram trick either. What is the problem exactly? I don't think I've seen any logs from the failure... I wonder if it's a simple module mismatch. |
Re: Simple Guide 11/11 Android on SD card! 4 Easy Steps (15 min): TP2 DL lnks (FRX07
Well the problem was everytime I turn on wifi and when I go to set up, it says 'unable to scan'. I did go to the ConnectBot that I installed, and did the following step:
Open a terminal window, and type: su mount -o remount,rw /system find /lib/modules/ -type l -delete Then reboot. The modules will be unpacked on next boot. I had to find my server which was thescotts7@xx.xxx.xx.xx:22 but I couldn't do it as ssh, but as a local host. After I did the reboot, nothing happens, the same old thing. Then, I found another step, which I downloaded the wifi-nvram.txt file and added my MAC address in the macaddr line, renamed the file to wifi-nvram and added it into my sdcard as: sdcard/andbootfrx07.1/ of my card. So I did follow the following steps: su cp /sdcard/wifi-nvram.txt /data/wifi-nvram.txt After doing that, I get: Cp: cannot stat ' /sdcard/wifi-nvram.txt': No such file or directory I tried: /sdcard/andbootfrx07.1/wifi-nvram.txt /data/wifi-nvram.txt (hoping it would work) It didn't do anything. Does it mean it worked? |
Re: Simple Guide 11/11 Android on SD card! 4 Easy Steps (15 min): TP2 DL lnks (FRX07
Update! After doing the /sdcard/andbootfrx07.1/wifi-nvram.txt /data/wifi-nvram.txt
I turned on wifi and the next thing you know, I saw my connection! Thanks so much for everything you guys do! I finally fixed it. :) |

Re: Simple Guide 11/11 Android on SD card! 4 Easy Steps (15 min): TP2 DL lnks (FRX07
OK, after doing a unsuccessfully searching on the site for guidance on how to get Bluetooth working in FRX07.1, I thought I'd ask for help - if there's a FAQ or guide I should reference, please point me in the right direction - I'm happy to read for myself if it's available!
What I'm seeing is when I attempt to enable Bluetooth on my RHOD500 running 7.1, the Bluetooth turns on momentarily, then turns itself back off. Then back on. And the cycle will continue as long as I'm willing to allow it to run. I checked to make sure that Bluetooth was working correctly in WinMo (it is), so I don't think it's a hardware issue. Any suggestions? TIA, Gremlin |

As for MMS, you have to configure your APN for your provider. |

If the APN doesn't save, you're not entering the correct settings. |

i got the apn setting set up. as for the radio, the one i found on here looks like it will completely change out the rom and radio. i have updated the radio before and it just like which radio is to be updated. but this one has a completely different image than just the radio. can you point me in the right direction? thanks.

ok now does the update utility just update the radio or is it a full rom? usally when i flash the radio it tells me what radio is going to be updated, ie 2.23.00, 2.32.00. the ruu gives a completly different number than 2.37.00.

I tried to program the contacts with phone card's access number, PIN and found that DTMF sending was not working. An example, try to dial *2,,,,,,,,1 or *2,,,,,,,,your_10_digit_number if you are with Sprint, you'll notice the IVR does not recognize the DTMF sent by the phone. However, if you press the button on the sreen to send DTMF manually, it works.

Another finding. Wifi does not work or barely works when the screen is off though wifi is set to never sleep. As soon as the screen turns on, wifi packets immediate goes through. It seems the wifi is in some sleep or low power mode when the screen is off though wifi connection is alive. On latest kernel and rootfs.

We'd truly be nowhere without enterprising developers like ACL who has for the most part been working solo on getting the tricky part of flashing Android natively working well. Hats off to him, and the countless other developers like him - I can't even begin to think about how much actual time these guys have put cumulatively over the years into this project. So long as they keep going, this project will always continue to improve. The dedication is incredible! |

Anyone ever have problems with the gsensor going wacky and portrait and landscape moving over one turn? Straight up is now left landscape , left turn on side is now portrait and upside down is right landscape. Works like its supposed to after a reboot then after a little while goes back to this, just started today and it's pissing me off immensely.

Did you install some app recently that might be messing with the g-sensor? Any other changes recently? Update rootfs/zImage/etc? Perhaps rename your data.img to data.bak and let it create a new one on boot. Run for a while, see if it happens again. Then reinstall apps one-by-one, see if there's one in particular that causes it. |

Which Dolphin, HD or Mini? Not sure it would matter, but I use Mini. Works great, certainly doesn't cause my g-sensor to go wonky :p. |
I'm using mini, loved the thing but now that I've uninstalled I'm pretty sure it was the culprit. Dude I wanna try either of the NAND builds but I gotta wait till you guys work out the last few bugs and get my laptop back. I just don't want to be "one of those guys" without the ability to pull logs and test. :)
Edit- also is [ACL] mad at me or something? I sent him 2 pm's with no reply. Sent from my ppcT7380 Ti/FRX06-07 via PPCG app |

Either way that's strange about Dolphin. I use it every day... Hrm. There's other browsers, just odd. There was some boat browser I heard about? Sounded pretty sweet. We'll see what Chrome will bring, hopefully we can run it! |
Chrome you say? My wife has it on her computer and loves it but then anything is better than IE. Ok I just figured I would ask... no worries it was just to tell him I'll be donating again soon.
Edit- oh and to tell him about MDU, you should check it out too. Holy FC on my fargin email....may have to reinstall from TB. Strange....uninstalled dolphin mini and rebooted everything working fine now but went to browser icon and dolphin mini pops up....maybe I somehow installed it multiple times...dunno. Yeah its still acting up, pretty sure you're right, I'll just create a new data.img since this one is older than FRX07. I'll just use TB once it settles for my apps, thanks for the help bro!
