That being said, do you have know if the Incredible and TP2 share the same sound hardware? If not it would be a huge waste to time for a dev to pursue. |

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [5/10] GPS NOW WORKING!
is any progress being made on enabling bluetooth on the Android port? i would sacrifice outward sound (speaker, ringer, etc.) to be able to use my bluetooth headset. i love the Android platform on the TP2 but i have to switch to winmob when i need to drive because of the handset law. any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [5/10] GPS NOW WORKING!
Long time SERO & WM guy too, but just had to give it up. The way I look at (or, the way I sold myself on the idea at least) was that I'd gotten a good run out of SERO. Saved several thousand over the last couple years, so I don't mind upping my plan too badly now. Sprint still has the best rates around.
And as far as WM, the thing that attracted me to it (and probably what attracted everyone else to it) was the fact that it could do things that nothing else could. The time has finally come where the opposite is true though. I was sick of getting left behind while applications went to Android and the iPhone. Plus, WM's lockups and resets were really starting to get under my skin after 5+ years. Honestly, ever since WM5 it seems like things have progressively gotten worse, rather than better. There are still one or two WM apps that haven't made they're way to Android yet, but should be soon. Until then, I'm still really enjoying a fresh new experience. |

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [5/10] GPS NOW WORKING!
I am having an issue after the first use/boot, when clicking the MJDdroidutility then selecting rhod 400, then runandroid, it takes me to a launch script screen, it looks for the default path where the executable file lives, currently points to default.exe. does anyone knows why and how to fix it?

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [5/10] GPS NOW WORKING!
Im about to make some new updates for downloads guys. Does anyone still use the 2.0.1 build? I am thinking about getting rid of it completely since we have a very clean 2.1 AOSP build. Also Babijoee released a .sqsh version of 2.1 with Launcher Pro added, which is a lot like the nexus 1 launcher, and i was thinking about making you guys a new build with it included.

Does anyone happen to know why corporate calendar isn't in the build? Am I missing it, or is it not included by default. Not an issue, just curious. I noticed unless I use gmail my exchange calendar does not appear, but someone said to use corporate calendar.

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [6/01] NEW BUILD ADDED!
How can I add outlook calendar exchange sync with AOSP, sense 2.1 currently syncs the calendar, contacts and emails and AOSP syncs only mail and contacts.
Thank you! |
Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [6/01] NEW BUILD ADDED!
wow, i must really have not been paying attention lately, but check this out.
Using both the zimage/modules from the battery fix, and the newest rootfs (using either the update tool, or from the project tracking page) i have all 3 gps/wifi/and battery meter working at the same time. :) Not sure how i missed the fixes, but there it is.... LOL |

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [6/01] NEW BUILD ADDED!
It just struck me that we're all so close to having a fully functional android- sound, camera & bluetooth? It's so close, yet so far but at the same time you dev's have come so far..I remember when the wi-fi was working it was ground breaking

From what I read the new build has the launcher, but how do you access/use it? All i have is the standard app launcher in the middle bottom (after updating of course)....? thanks!!

i keep getting installation unsuccessful when trying to install the cab any ideas?

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [6/01] NEW BUILD ADDED!
Make sure you install Android on to the SD Card and not the internal memory. Android needs to read the files on the SD Card because it can only access the SD when booting up.
Be sure to thank me if I helped you out. |
