the blazn one is awesome, but I couldn't access the market. Kept gettin' force close. It kept lockin' up for me.

I might step down the overclock a little bit.

EDIT: The battery meter fix/workaround is weird on this one too. I booted up android, and it showed my battery almost dead so i plugged the phone in and it immediately said "charged". didn't show "charging" LOL.. minor fluke I think until we get power management working :)

Hey guys, does anyone else here play Pocket Empires? I installed the newest froyo 2.2 build and LOVING it, but when I installed Pocket Empires and tried to play it logged me into some other account. Repsac is the name. But the game wont allow me to log out and login to my own account. I have no clue what to do here. I have tried clearing the cache for PE, tried a re-install and neither worked. Any suggestions other than to switch back to an older build? This game is basicly the only reason I use Android...can't wait untill Sprint employees can purchase the EVO!

I had this Problem too. I had to delete everything on my SD card (including my data.img file) and reinstall Blazn. That fixed Market Place for me.

First off, thanks all for this great product. I finally give it a try and it blow me away. Can't believe how good it is.

Here is my question hope someone can answer it.

1) I use this android on Sprint phone, I read couple thread that you have to remove the SIM card to get signal to work. Is this require? Because I install and run the latest release and my signal and 3G working fine w/o any problem.

2) Is USB tether working on this build? I plug in the usb to my computer but the phone doesn't seems to see it. Whenever try to turn on the USB tether, it said "USB not connected".

3) Ater I charge the phone, and unplug it, the LED turn orange and stay orange for as long as I run android (overnight). Is it only my phone doing this?

4) Is there to make the incall volume to be louder? It seems like the incall volume control has no effect. No matter what the incall volume meter said, it's still a constant volume.

Thanks all.

Anyone here have a link to a youtube tutorial on how to install this?

I have tried the cab, and rar and both several different times and I can not get either to work at all on my tp2, I did try gen Y dual boot just to see and that does work.

Just not sure what the issue is here.

I saw a post a couple of pages back that mentioned a tool that would back up settings. However, since I did not have much loaded, I just started over. Not the best Solution, but it worked for me,

on a whim I decided to format the SD card which at the time only had 2 videos... and then re-dled the cab and now it is installing. Will post back if it all works when it's done

1. No its not really necessary if yours is running ok, mine did at first but I booted android one day and it all of a sudden couldnt get service so I removed the sim and rebooted and it was fine

2. Im not sure, but most likely its just not working yet but I'll try and get back to you

3. Everyones phone does this for now, dont worry you arent the only one, and dont be surprised if it turns from green to red and vice versa, its normal

4. I have not been able to find a way to do this either, looks like its stuck at that volume for now

Definitely not required, and if it works for you that's great. What I found is that with the SIM card in sometimes the phone worked and sometimes it didn't. Without the card the phone always works. So it was easier for me just to keep it out.

so I'm having an issue, I'm not getting any service. I've tried all the little tricks, I've cleared my sd card, started with open phone service, and didn't have the sim card in..... am I missing something? I've never had this happen before. I'm with sprint.
Thanks in advance

I'm doing something wrong with the blazn cab... I cleared my SD of all Android elements from previous builds (missed Reef's reply about Titanium backup lol) but I've now tried to install the new cab 4-5 times now and each time it starts to load haret, gives me the double vibration.... then freezes.

Not sure what else is wrong, I've cleared SD, and tried to install and re-install... no dice.

Hey bud,

Try turning your OC down a bit. Ive had a lot of people letting me know 787MHz is a bit too high for most devices. :) Its in the startup.txt, and stock its set to 800000Khz. Try setting it down to like 725000 and see what it does, if you cant get it to boot, then to rule out the overclock take the line out of your startup.txt completely.

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [7/16] NEW FROYO BUILD V3

thanks reef, trying it now. In the startup.txt I see an entry for lcd.density does that have any impact on touch sensitivity? just curious.

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [7/16] NEW FROYO BUILD V3

I didn't bother to edit the startup.txt much except these two to get the build to run.

physkeyboard=tilt2 (to my device)
htc_hw.force_cdma=0 (to 1)

Now for my problems... I can't seem to get google maps to work. The screen is always white. Also, I can't get wifi to connect. Before with 2.1 it worked, but now it tries to connect but then disconnects. Does anyone know why? I have a Sprint tp2.

Google maps IS working, you have maps set to satellite view im betting, and it has not gotten a true lock yet, and you are somewhere out of the coast of africa, zoom out about 10-15 times youll see. Not sure whats up with the wifi, works just fine for me :(

Update the rootfs to the latest. The Update Utility didn't seem to work for me so I downloaded it from a link on the Project Andriod site. Rename the file to "rootfs" and overwrite the old one.

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [7/16] NEW FROYO BUILD V3

Well I posted this in the wrong thread before.

"Okay well I'm going to be laughed at for this. If I use any of the older 2.1 builds, I am able to install Storm8 games and play them using my own unique account (I think it's based off of device ID). However If I install a fresh 2.2 with no old data file there's already an existing Storm8 account loaded into the game Vampires Live. If I bring over my old data file from 2.1, I can continue to play on my account however the Market doesn't work. Any ideas on what I might be able to do?"

Does anybody else have any luck with using your data file from an older build and still being able to launch the market? Mine just goes to a white screen then back to the home. If i start with a fresh data file I can get into it, but Vampires live already has an account in it.

Just to follow-up, dropping the OC to 750000 got the blazn cab to work just fine for me! Loving the mods and refinements in this build.

I'll tell you what, once sound is fixed I'm ready to make xandroid my primary OS and only use winmo as the secondary and to utilize the camera (which truly I dont use all that often)

I've been a winmo/winCE guy for over 10 years so that's saying ALOT!!!

It might be soon guys. Ive got a recent made friend who owns a wireless isp company, and is having a few of his main linux programmers including himself debug the situation. The last report I received from him is that they set up one of their linux boxes specific for this job, and ran a trace on the handset. They did find the areas for sound, phone volume control, and keyboard backlight to be fixed, now he is going to just have to debug. :spin::spin::spin:

Can you ask them to look into camera functionality as well... naturally within their own time-frames and such? This is an awesome development!!

Seriously, not to complain or sound snarky... but...

(Sorry, had to) THIS IS AWESOME !! hhahahaahha.. thanks a TON man for your networking and friend making.. Tell your friend that we sincerely appreciate this as well.. Very cool stuff..

Hopefully this will help turn this port into a 'more complete' reality.. I'm lovin' all of the devotion to this project. (My wife is enjoying it since it would keep me from dropping big $$ on an EVO lmfao)..

Thanks again man.. sincerely :)

Is the TV Out function a possibility with Android and the TP2? Is there an app to make it happen or is it more a function of the hardware within the TP2?

Thanks much for all the hard work. I thought I'd never be and Android convert, but you guys have proved me wrong!

Awesome to hear about the linux guys joining the team with some dedication, I would love to see this project go vogue level against all odds.

A question: So all i have to do to upgrade to the newest froyo build from the beta is run the auto update from the MJGDroidUtility?
