Updated too, this morning. Rhod400 boots to clock screen, shows no service, then reboots. Back to 10/7.

I removed my old cab, downloaded and installed the Sep 28 cab. Then ran the update and my 10-9 works fine.

So anybody on Rhod 400 get the newest kernel working. Every time I try it it goes to the lock screen then reboots. I have tried to reformat the disk and tried to use a new data.img. If anybody has any advice plz post

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [10/04] BATT UPDATES!

You'll have to reinstall the cab from Sep. 28 and then update with the startup app. That's what I did and it works fine now.

If you want to read the change logs, or download them without the tool, head over here:

I can't see the change logs??? Even after I go 'there'??? :banghead:

The 20101009_180222 kernel restarted shortly after the lock screen came up. Downloaded the other 10/9 kernel (20101009_121955) and it boots up and works for me. Saw a comment posted for the non-working kernel that it's battery temp reporting causing the issues.

Hey imnuts do you know when the devs are going to fix the 201009_180222 build and do you know the changelog to that kernel?

Looking at the kernel site, and going off other people's experieces, that won't help.

I'd assume they'll fix it soon, but no idea. And the build logs and such are at the kernel build site

Sorry guys I wasn't home all day and didn't see the bad kernel!! I have gone back to the first 10.09 kernel instead of the newest that has issues.

Run the update tool for 9.2 update.

Update app is crashing during the extraction phase. Went to folder where upgrade.zip was to try a manual extraction and keep getting CRC errors. Tried multiple downloads to rule out bad connection causing the errors. Anyone else experiencing this?

EDIT: Deleted upgrade.zip and retried the process no issues.

Everything I read says the wifi tethering is working. I am running the latest kernal. I cant seem to get it to work. I downloaded the XDA tethering apk and am having no luck. When I start tethering it says it started with errors check the log. Then my laptop will not find the network. Am I missing a setting or something. Thanks.

Is your wifi connecting...or just can not tether...as I am having similar issues connecting to wifi with my Verizon TP RHOD500 on current kernel???

I have never used the XDA wifi tethering but the Barnace app in the market works beautifully. Not sure it is safe from a data usage standpoint but the verizon data usage app records the data use along with all of data use on the phone itself so it seems to be okay.

After yesterday's bad kernal problem, I went back to Blazn092810 cab and started over. Everything is working very good, but I lost a bunch of ringtones. They were there previously. How would I get those back? (tia)

HEARING ABOUT ALL THE NEW PROBLEMS I have stuck with the 9/28 version and havn't updated everything is working great.

Now only if the 3.5mm jack could work I could listen to pandora while working out!!!

How far is this from being solved Reefermattness?

If you have the files have you tried putting them in storage card/andboot/media/audio/ notifications?

What package where you running before? maybe extract it and save it then copy to the 9/28 version.

Other then that not sure.

I was running the 9/28 cab and had a lot of ringers. When the update went bad I cleaned the sd card, reloaded 9/28 and did the update (after the new update was in place). The phone worked very good but was down to 5 choices of ringtones. I now updated to 10/10 and it's still the same - 5 possible ringtones. I guess, Mod or anyone, please tell me how many stock ringtones you have..,

---------
I agree with battery drain...

Anyone else having issues with their phone not locking all the buttons or on notifications?

I've pocket dialed a few people recently. I've come to find the menu (windows) button unlocks the device too easily and being right beside Send, it is the next button to be pressed.

Also any messages I get seem to unlock it. It may be from SMS popup but still like to make sure I don't end up calling my boss when I sit down in a chair.

Thanks Mod, I've got zedge and phone zoo, but I wanted the original stock ones... I think I found the zip file that has them/some here.
I'm loading the file now.

That is the one I was trying. I cant get it to work. Tried the Barnacle one too. No luck. I guess I will try the latest kernel again and see what happens.

Edit. Just updated to the 10-10 kernal and its working fine now. Must have been and issue with the 10-9 one.

I don't know about anyone else, but my RHOM500, hasn't tolerated the last few builds. It just freezes while booting into linux. I can take a picture of which code/line it crashes at if it'll be helpful. Uninstalling/reinstalling the program doesn't help.

Try reformatting your SDCARD

Use this SD Formatter 3.0 (Beta) for SD/SDHC/SDXC - SD Association

Installed the cab version for the first time on my Touch Pro 2 and notice it takes a very long time on the linux screen with the scrolling lines...its still doing it after close to 8 min. I also did an update to before booting. Is this normal?

If it's still scrolling and not frozen, I'd let it run. But mine never took 8 minutes. You may have to try it again without update, let it boot and then install update.
