Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [9/28] NEW START APP!
Where can I follow the progress with the camera and bluetooth. I knew the camera would be the most difficult thing to fix. I would predict they will have bluetooth working before the camera.

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [9/28] NEW START APP!
Can someone point me(remind me) how to enable a ringtone using the latest build from this thread, I have everything that is supposed to be working doing ok, but the call settings says silence and does not ring, I already searched and could not find the answer.
Thank you! |

On another note, have you guys tried stinebd's new system.ext2 image? It's freakin sweet. HDPI is enabled, and the dial screen fitment is finally correct :D There's other fixes, like for GSM guys netloc should work again. |
Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [9/28] NEW START APP!
The 9/28 BLAZN version is pretty sweet. I hadn't used Android on the TP2 for quite some time because of the lagginess. Now, it works nice and smooth.
I do have a few issues though that I haven't seen brought up recently: Sometimes (haven't established a pattern yet), when I answer an incoming call or make an outgoing call, no audio can be heard on the unit. I have to hit the windows key, hit speaker phone to turn it on, hit it agian to turn it off, then the audio comes through the unit. Have others experienced this or have a workaround? Sometimes (again, no pattern established), I lose internet on the device. I get it back by turning the device on and off into airplane mode. That immediately restores internet. Again, have others experienced this or have a workaround? Thanks again to the devs working on this! Steve |
Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [9/28] NEW START APP!
1. I have had the same issues with sound. Also, about 30-40% of the time for an outgoing call I hear nothing, no ringing or voice. The other end pics up and also hears nothing. If he calls me back, or I call again, it's fine.
2. I also lose the 3G sporadically, often > 5x a day. To get it back I goto Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile networks and then click off and then on Data enabled. It's a pain but better than restarting the phone... |

It's pretty ugly, but it gets the job done. When my data stops working, instead of going into the settings, i just tap this to turn data off, then tap it again to turn it back on. Does the exact same thing as going into settings to turn data off and on, but a lot quicker. Also, when I'm not using data, i just disable it using this widget and believe me, that does wonders for the battery life. |
Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [9/28] NEW START APP!
Sorry if this is off topic but can anyone recommend a call recording app that works well with the TP2?
Thanks :) |

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [9/28] NEW START APP!
I am using the latest kernel, http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/tp2-androi...s-testing.html, with the battery status fix and it works great but still the issue with sound when making calls is still present.........I have tried different scenarios as posted- volume up and down key, speakerphone, etc. but no luck...It is very random and when I try to dial a phone number from contacts or favorites etc, it connects but then silence......It is the only thing that would keep me from using this full time........Anyone have updates or projects in the works to fix this??? I will be glad to be a tester for it. I am on Verizon with a TP2 (cdma)....I have noticed others have the issue also....I am not complaining as I appreciate all the work that has gone into this....but would love to use Android full time!! Thanks for all you do!!!

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [9/28] NEW START APP!
Ok guys n gals,
Sovereignty has another app update for you guys. This one includes lots of fixes for things like editing your own startup app, the unpackaging and applying of updates has been streamlined as well. Read below. :) Quote:
On top of that new startup app, there is also the new kernel that is out, and as some have already noticed has SOME (not sure its 100% fixed, mixed reports) sound fixes for in call. Either head over to the web page and go to the tracking page for kernel updates, or use the new tool above (how handy, check it out if you have not its small, light and easy to use!!) and check for an update! There is one available! |
Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [9/28] NEW START APP!

i was just curious on the transitions arrgghh i know it isnt just as easy to flip a switch i know it is a lot of hard work for you devs and i was just curious because in the 9-25 build the transitions seemed a lot smoother. sorry if it seemed like i was trying to act like what you guys do is easy i know it isnt.
