Yes, text messaging works. MMS does not though.

What happens when a MMS comes through, and just to clarify MMS is picture mail?

I don't think anything happens... why don't you try and tell us?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 8.12; MSIEMobile6.0) Sprint T7380)

Sending picture mail on sprint works with the right settings, however incoming does not seem to work.

An incoming MMS (picture mail) is just lost forever I think while we are in Android. Ive had free send stuff and these messages just vanish. No messages, nothing. I wonder if a 3rd party MMS app would work?

Well the call still comes inbound to your phone so unless you have a plan that has unlimited incoming minutes then no...

I thought if you made one of your "3 favs" your Google Voice number, it would make it free incoming. (been wrong before)

Incorrect flagging of reef's mirror. It's not really an attack site w/malware. Reef is aware, and I told him to just change his freakin mirror until he gets it sorted out... Der.

I don't have any sort of plan that involves any 'faves' but I'd imagine that would work! (Are these plans available on Sprint...?)

I don't know if Sprint still offers the 3 favorites thingy, but a couple of years ago it was just a matter of asking for it... was a free add-on.

I got Sprint to Home added for FREE to my SERO 500 plan less than a month ago, it gives me 1 number(My google voice#) that I get unlimited minutes to and from.

They wanted $5 for the pick 3 on My Sero, even though I had it free on my other plan, so I went with the Free option.

Jeez man you have four posts and these are two of them?

The built-in wifi tether was JUST enabled... literally. It's not the most stable. Use the XDA app to tether with wifi.

I love the 8/26 build but I am really tempted to just go with reference build.

Only reason so far why I haven't is because looks like what a few guys been working on with battery meter has seemingly worked better on the older build (could be mistaken).

Broke down last night and gave Ref 9-16 a try... and at least one thing is confirmed:

I love android however it comes, Blazn or Stock lol!

I can easily see the performance increases of FRX01 over the previous builds!

I really must say... it's a geek masterpiece that can only get even better in the future!

I run 'em all... Just have them sorted in different folders on the SD to keep my sanity.

Battery meter is a fickle thing in general (even on WinMo) and it's way too easily misreported because of the placebo effect. I think the battery meter is actually getting better in new builds, and there's also some new code flying around that hasn't been committed yet - but looks promising.

OK guys, I need some help....I am running the reference build 9/16 and love it!!! I have read all the posts about overclocking and have entered in the code in the startup file acpuclock.oc_freq_khz=716800 and changed the sleep mode to 2 but when I run the haret file to boot linux, it says it does not recognize the acpuclock entry...I have checked the spelling, tried it with spaces etc but no go...Is there a certain spot in the startup file it is suppose to go and do I need to enter any special characters etc......Any help would be appreciated!!!

I believe you entered it as a new line in the text file.

Place it within the ***set cmdline*** section. i put it at the end of the string, before the quotes closed.

Here is what it looks like....does anyone see any issues as it still says Unknown keyword: 'acpuclock' and runs but it still is not overclocked....?? Thanks

set ramsize 0x10000000

Well that looks right. You should change the hw3d.force=1 to a 0, hw3d isn't working yet for our devices.

But the OC line looks correct. How do you know it's not working...?

I guess I don't but I assumed it was not working as I received that error message and I assumed it just skipped over it and booted....Also, I did not see any performance gains with or without it....any way to measure cpu speed in android....software???

Does anyone use any sort of backup program to restore all their apps between builds?

I've read good things about Titanium Backup but haven't tried it yet.

It's the one I use. There's a couple of others, but it's the only one I've tried.

Yea... I think System Panel Light will do it for you. Not sure. The performance gains are not dramatic in my experience... Keep in mind, there's still a lot of un-optimized things lurking in the system...

you have the acpuclock.oc_freq_khz=716800 on a new line. it all has to be on one line separated by a space. try this:

set ramsize 0x10000000

set KERNEL zImage
