I dont think its actually working yet, im gonna go back a kernel before they change the ram settings and see if that one works.

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [9/16] FRX01 FINAL!
It doesn't work with the newest but the one before that works. I am getting 17.4fps on neocore and everything on the U.I. is so much faster.

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [9/16] FRX01 FINAL!
The latest kernel gave me the same results as before, but htc-msm-linux @ 20100925_102434 gave me the boot animation with hw3d=1. Neocore runs as well. Didn't have to delete my data.img either.

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [9/16] FRX01 FINAL!
Holy cow!! This is fantastic! I mean fantastic!
Just tried htc-msm-linux @ 20100925_102434 and got the boot animation, successful boot, and working picture gallery in glorious 3D. Stupendous. Just one quick question. When I loaded up the new kernel, none of my apps show in the app drawer. They're there and can be called up from other places, but no shortcuts in the app drawer. Anyone have any ideas on this? |
Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [9/16] FRX01 FINAL!
where do you get the new kernel or is it not up yet

Linux kernel zImages and modules for htc-msm-linux
Download the newest one Delete your old zimage and modules files Extract the contents of the zip you downloaded to your andboot folder Rename the zImage_20100925_102434 to just zimage Remove the hw3d line in your startup.txt or change it to =1 EDIT: Theres actually a newer one there now, havent tested yet, but the directions remain the same as above. |
Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [9/16] FRX01 FINAL!
thx 123sit for such a quick response. does this zimage fix anything else?

Still testing now, just downloading the newest build and 3D works on it as well. So you can actually grab the newest build and not just the one I said in the previous post.
EDIT: Go to the market and search Neocore and you can see the 3d acceleration in action at 17.1 FPS, pretty nifty KUDOS TO THE DEVS ON THIS HURDLE BEING JUMPED |

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [9/16] FRX01 FINAL!
Hi everone!
I´m happy to see such great progress with Android on TP2, the 3D gallery looks great! I still have 2 show stoppers: - The sleep screen of death: as soon as my phone goes to sleep (via timeout or using the end button) it freezes. I have to pull out the battery. - No data connection: I have a 3G icon on the notification bar, but still can't load web pages, weather, market, nothing. I have no SIM card by the way. Any thoughts? |

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [9/16] FRX01 FINAL!
Phone said I was running low on space when trying neocore.
Rebooted installed new kernel and some my apps have been eaten. Did this before. Rebuilt my data.img and all was fine. Just Sad. |

I've already tried it with the Blazn Build and it still freezes. What clock speed do you use? Maybe it works for me. As for using airplane mode to restart my 3G: no dice  |

Anyone anyone to sync or get their bluetooth on?

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [9/16] FRX01 FINAL!
I know this has been asked before, but there never seemed to be a satisfactory answer: My location settings are not working for programs and widgets. GPS is working fine in Google maps and NDrive, etc. But the weather widget cannot find my location. Anyone know of a fix for this?

You got me thinking with de OC stuff. So I decided to give it a go reading (again for 100th time) the FAQ. I edited my startup and set pm.sleep_mode=2 (just as the FAQ suggested) and acpuclock.oc_freq_khz=716800. My phone has been up and running for 30 min without a problem! It's been sleeping most of the time and it doesn't freeze. (and it sleeps properly, green light on). Now, there's one little thing that I also did and I'm not sure how that affects the outcome: I disabled my data, no 3G whatsoever. Somehow, I think that when 3G is active my phone starts to act out. I'll turn it back on in a few moments and see what happens, I'll post back my results. |

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [9/16] FRX01 FINAL!
Sorry if this has been addressed already but my mic doesn't work for voice dialing. Other than the voicemail trick from WinMo that's posted in the FAQ, is there a permanent fix? I lose my mic everytime after a reboot.

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [9/16] FRX01 FINAL!
Wow. This 3D is awesome! Running Neocore and actually having it boot was pretty awesome! I got 17.8 FPS with audio on and 18.8 with the audio off. Anyway, noticing some people having issues with their startup.txt . remember that we all can't overclock to the top level. I am able to OC mine to 700 and it's quite stable. I removed the h3d line completely. My Youtube seems to be working just fine but HQ is still freezing. The Rhod500 keyboard also matches mine. For some reason when i use the Rhod400 my FN key doesnt' work properly. Hope this helps someone at least.

I'm not having luck getting 3d at this point, not sure what the bottleneck is... I'll keep messing with it later today. Still an awesome development though
