I had a issue myself with re-installing, unfortunately I had to go the route of a sd reformat, worked great afterwards., and it never hurts to re-format evey now and then.

Yes actually, add "htc_battery_smem.fake=1" to your startup.txt

Whenever one is ready, there is no time line. There are also updates to the zimage almost every day.

I am only a tester. :) I did help the Devs get their first Rhodium to work on, but no, I do not cook the builds. I helped make the startup utility, make the cabs, and sort through what works, and what doesn't.

Make sure you use ATK to close all your background apps and turn your GPS off. Should be getting about 20+ hours standby with push mail, but if you're constantly playing with it, its gonna die fast no matter what OS you have on it. LOL



To anyone who was having errors downloading from FileFront I apologize. I am using a real hosting server now, so things should go much faster. :)

Oh btw... I dont know if its well known or not... Didn't search cuz I find this quicker... haha...
But you can run the MJGUtility from windows... So to update the files... Plug your TP2 to PC as a Disk Drive... Open the andboot folder and run MJGw/e.exe... click menu, then update... wayy faster than 3g...
btw at the end of it it will error out and force close... But i assure you it extracts everything first:headbang:

i have uscellular and the keyboard is wrong the caps dont work the cap and the fn button dont work the fn and then the numbers across the top row arent there i have to hold down caps button and then hit #6 and that displays the number 1 any fix forthat please....

Usually with this issue it ends up being the SD card you are using. Try a different one if you have the option. Or give it a full format to FAT32.

Go to "spare parts" and change the settings and you can speed up the animations and screen transitions. Problem solved. :toothy10:

I think this kills the battery. Twice it died on me... before it never did. I know it the LED doesn't turn green anymore.

I don't know if this has been covered yet. So please give me some slack.

Has anybody experienced not being able to use the "Search" function in the Android Market while running Klinux Sense build?

If you haven't, whenever I click the search button on the home screen of the Android Market all it does is lock up Android and force a restart.

So if this has been an issue that has been fixed or addressed... please reply. Thanks

I found a weird issue with the Marketplace, it doesn't list any paid apps. When I search for paid apps nothing shows up in the results. Any ideas as to why only free apps show up?

Just to let you guys know that new android 2.1 asop without sense i can charge it while on android, no need to turn off or go to windows. Anybody else been able to do this?

Yea when I was on that I had the same issue and so did a lot of other people and there is a work around that was posted a while back. I then tried the AOSP 2.1 build and it works fine on that build.

Yea I think that was fixed with the newer kernels but I don't think its 100% yet, so its semi working I believe.

I love this port, been wanting to try for a while and finally did. Everything works as described, but I can't set the language/locale to US English. How do I change it? When first setting up, there is no option. Any help is appreciated.

i have installed the 2.1 with sense on to my tp2 today.
however I couldn't set the english for US ass default and also my data isn't working at all and my phone can't get any radio... also my battery went from 80% to 7 % in matter of mins.... anything guys?

The battery meter doesn't really work so that's pretty much expected behavior. did you force cdma=1?

Can you use the gps from this version and put it in the cab version?:

It looks like there's (very preliminary) GPS support in the latest rootfs, thanks to phh and jonpry. AGPS support is not there yet, so it might take anywhere from 3-20 minutes to get a signal lock.

Replace the rootfs.img in your andboot folder with the linked version. You might also need to update to the newest kernel from Glemsom's site.

I haven't tried it yet, so I can't tell you much.

ah ha, I just tried the force cdma and that did the trick.
one with the sense feel little buggy to me.. am going to try the other builds to see if there's any difference. Any preference from fellow users here?

As soon as they have anything majorly changed they will. I too am waiting for a new release in hopes that it will allow me to use the Search in Android. Whenever I try to search something anywhere it will lock-up and reboot Android.

NEW May 10 New GPS NOW WORKING! Update your rootfs for the new fix using the update tool, or download it and replace your old one HERE!! Expect slow lock times, up to 10 minutes, but GPS is now working! I have found getting a lock in WinMo first seems to speed up when you switch to Android!

I was able to get my gps to work by take this file and extracting the file
1. Download the latest rootfs.
2. Extract the lastest rootfs and rename it to (rootfs)
3. Find the andboot folder on your storage card.
4. Replace the rootfs file on your storage card with the new one you downloading from the web.
5. Run android and you are finished.

Now my gps works and I am happy!!!
