Well, I'm actually wondering the same thing. Since it does stop the process of Windows, does Windows still take up memory or not...

It is actually a question I have been wondering myself.

is it better to launch from haret.exe?

my android corrupts itself every so often, aka when i start it up (where the screen is black and theres all the white text) it will say bad file name on some lines.

i just reinstalled blazn and launched it from haret.exe instead and i actually see an android animation along with a bunch of different phones scrolling across the screen. is this normal?

edit- it also seems like i have to reboot 2-3 times before i will get service, is this normal?

If you are launching from the shortcut in the start menu, make sure you check force CDMA if you have a CDMA phone or make sure its unchecked if you have GSM.

also, if you are launching from haret.exe, make sure the startup.txt file has the forcecdma command in there if its cdma and make sure it doesn't if it is gsm.

first time i used the shortcut, i checked force cdma, and i figured the program would be smart enough to remember that and was all WTF'ing when it didn't have service...

i am on sprint (cdma), ive checked the startup txt and it already has the force cmda = 1, command there.

i still dont have connection sometimes... if its already in startup.txt can i just boot from haret and forget using the utility?

does the 3d box have to be checked or not? i think unchecked, i see that animation when its loading android. with it checked, i dont. i just want android to stop corrupting itself every few days :(

ps - is anyone else having an issue with the lock screen wallpaper and their regular wallpaper being different? ive noticed this with some wallpapers. the lock screen background would revert to the original one in the blazn build.

Do not check the 3D box! This may be causing your corruption issues.

ok i took out my SIM card and it seems to have fixed my connection issues with sprint. i dont know why because it connected fine before with it in.

anyways, it seems like you can underclock the CPU in startup.txt, is this right?

Yes, you can set it as slow as you want or as fast as the CPU will allow.

I remember having an issue like that, but it was only for CDMA data. Voice/Text worked with SIM in back then...

I'm having problems with the market place showing paid apps. I tried to use market enabler with the recommended settings for sprint that i found somewhere on here and it just made it so marketplace wouldn't connect at all.

If anyone can point me in the right direction or tell me if it isnt working at all I would appreciate it.

Running the newest blzn with the zimg that was posted to increase the in call volume

Thank you

This kind of got buried just wanted to know if anyone had a response :)

Download these files:
http://zimages.googlecode.com/files/...ackage.tar.bz2

Then unzip and replace zImage and the Modules with the ones already on your sd card.

If I have helped you please click thanks.

Thanks given, I was unsure how to do this.

don't forget to rename the "zImage_20100728_205735" file to just "zImage". Was unable to boot using the utility until I did this.

edit:
after installed the new zImage file, it made the calls noticeably louder, but the volume still cannot be adjusted. Don't know if I missed something but at least I can hear people better.

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [7/21] Fresh Froyo!

ok 72hrs running straight android.

it finally froze (sleep of death), on my way back from work today.

i push the reset button on the side of the phone, booted back into android, and all my contacts / text messages were gone.

im about to reformat my card, and reinstall android, but this time clock it to maybe only 600mhz and see if it still freezes.

btw, for sprint... what is the voicemail number? i cant seem to add the right one? when i dial it says i have dialed the wrong number. i thought it was supposed to be my own cell number?

should i not use the built in update feature to the launcher? I used it and now android isnt even remotely reading my battery right, and its crashing everytime I load up.

if your startup.txt is correct, you can just launch via haret.exe

i used to crash a lot, but its been pretty smooth for me.

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [7/21] Fresh Froyo!

i downloaded the rar version of blazn and copied the startup.txt back to my phone, the other had been corrupted. And now it just crashes everytime at boot, gets all the way to lock/unlock screen, and then crashes.

LiquidX 08-03-2010 10:52 PM

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [7/21] Fresh Froyo!

ok, so I ended up just taking the entire rar file and overwriting what was on my card, and now it works great again, guess I will stay away from using that autoupdate feature.

You will need to kill what ever OC process you are running to return to the default CPU speed (528MHz) in order to boot Android.

I read somewhere that it was possible to change the CPU speed Android uses on boot. Is this not possible, or is this just not possible for our device?

so after useing the updater its checking the 3d hardware box on its own? thought that caused issues being checked?

Edit : @ 2phone - I just saw your post, will try it that way

Edit : WEll i get it to boot to the home screen then it show service then shows no service then resets... Guess its just time to reload everything

when you guys say corrupt startup.txt

are you referring to when it loads you see a bunch of lines that say bad file name, etc?
