Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2
I'm loving the android build on my TP2 and many thanks to all the devs out there making this work for us. I was bored and couldnt sleep so I started reading this:
http://irclog.netripper.com/?chan=htc-linux&msgonly=0 I know the touchscreen sensitivity is a work in progress and have lived with it because android is SO MUCH BETTER than WM imho. After skimming through the chatlog for a while I found this posted by eval at timestamp 11:00: http://tr.im/eval313hack It has made my touchscreen sensitivity ALOT BETTER. Hope it helps someone out there! |

I'm not sure if it matters if you leave extra modules*.tar.gz laying around or not so I just remove the old ones to be safe. |

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2
After you rename zimage.whatever to just zimage, it will replace the old one. To be safe, I would take them off the card and keep them in a folder somewhere on your pc incase the "New" build is a flop. It happens sometimes. Leaving the old modules file in there is only going to lead to unexplained conflicts in the future. Cut old to pc and replace with new.

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2
I have started throwing together a development base on my vmware machine.
I am not really looking to provide anything of use, unless I happen to stumble upon something helpful. Overall it might teach me how to code/develop better. Anyway, I got started with the info in the XDA forum about setting one up. Getting android source now. Just want to understand more about what all is going on under the hood. |
