Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2
Tried the touchscreen fix, works wonders. Screen is much much better IMHO. I am able to finally customize the home screen without any hassle. Wifi works with the newest build still. Very satisfied and appreciative of all the hard work being put in

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2
i opened the modules fix with 7zip and then opened the modules.tar from the latest build with 7 zip (separate windows) and dragged the 5 files from the fix into the newest modules.tar and saved it. Then replaced the modules on my SD card with this new one and replaced the zImage with the newest

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2
u know to be honest, i dont know why but i havent really had any issues with the touch screen lol, feels normal to me. and i use the onscreen keyboard for txting and all. havent tried the new fix but since i dont really have any issues i'll wait till it gets included in the zimage and module updates or rootfs whichever it goes in.

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2
Keep in mind the touchscreen fix is a hack job, mind you it does work, but needs lots of cleanup done to it. But it is a workaround, not a true fix, it basically is disabling the doubletap from happening all together. So it is still being worked on, but I admit does make the phone much more usable due to it. I haven't heard anything about it making anything else go wrong so should be safe enough to use till a better fix comes out.
To use it, you can grab the zImage and modules in the poster that leaked the build. Or if you have your own build environment setup you can compile it in against the current updated build. Good Luck! |

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2
Quick noob-like question, doe putting a pound symbol (#) infrom of a line in the startup.txt make it a comment.
I'm asking because I'd like to have a startup with two set cmdline, one that enables 3d acceleration and one that doesn't. Just wanting to test the performance of a few games I've downloaded but be able to quickly switch how I'm booting. |

It does, just tested it and it works. Apparently need a driver though, games that ran crappy straight up don't run at all with the 3D switched on.
