I play at night with it too. Otherwise the old lady gets mad when she cant reach me cause the battery died while playing with new apps.

my old lady almost threw the phone out as I was playing with it all the time... during dinner, while chatting, while watching tv.. while playing cards with the family...

Awesome thread!! Installed no problem onto a Telus Mobility CDMA Touch Pro2. Everything but sound and bluetooth are working. GPS works great, now if only charging and ringtones would work, that would be awesome.

i installed the latest build using flyers all in one zip file and was able to boot and actually download about 3 apps from the marketplace. i did a restart and now when i try to download from the marketplace, i get the error "the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again"

usually there is an arrow pointing downwards when i download/install an app, but it no longer shows up and is just stuck at "Starting download..."

has anyone else had this problem? cant wait for power management and speaker to be implemented so i can possibly switch.

keep up the great work everyone! =)

I read through the dev forums because I had the same process FC on me a bunch, com.google.process.gapps. Delete everything off of your storage card and reload with newest package from glemsom, newest rootfs from 3rd post and everything else from first post and you should be fine. I realize that deleting your data.img will wipe all of your files and apps and such but your OS will work.

Just an FYI I did what I wrote above withOUT trying to tether whatsoever. I mean I pay for cable internet, can tether in WinMo.. Don't really need it at the moment.

Hit thanks if it helps :)

I would understand if you said GPS didn't work and charging worked. The other way around though?!?!?!

GPS does not work and some users have reported charging works even though it doesn't say. I would suggest not charging to prevent any damage and to try to use google maps turn by turn GPS and tell me if that works :P You will find out GPS does not work.

Do you guys want a restart of this thread so it is cleaned out and more info in post #1, or do you want to just continue the thread the way it is?

If there is no mod to keep it clean, we'll end up at the same place so if we have someone to keep it clean, sure, if not, don't bother.... maybe all the redundant questions will catch the eye of someone who is about to ask the same question again. :-D

Not as concerned bout the cleanliness, that is just the nature of forums. But more concerned about the information in the first few posts. I know MrPippy won't ever have time to keep things updates, there are lots of spin-off threads, which are perfectly fine as well. I figured just a thread that the first few posts can be updated from and attempt to keep links from some of the spin-off threads for the extra information.

You will never get a thread that is not going to have repeated questions. That is just how it goes heh. Just inquiring if you guys wanted a fresh start or just to leave it how it is.

I'd prefer for the thread to be organized like the rom threads where the first 3 or so posts are info about the project then the pages after are Q/A types of things. Seems to be easiest to keep up with releases that way. I feel like without checking the thread a few times a day I'm missing a lot here.

Keep in mind, that is how this thread is already designed, just that the 1st post isn't updated as often due to Op not being a forum guy, he is more into developing. So just asking if you guys want to do that. But again, this isn't anything that hasn't already been done in some form or fashion. If we get a few votes to do so then I will work on it, and try and put links to some of the other threads that cover different topics.

And I don't have to be the one that restarts the thread, we can just use one of the ones already out there if you wish. And I am definitely not promising to be here every hour of the day to give you the latest and greatest heh, so if someone else that has more time wants to by all means. I know Mackie has an all in one package thread, you guys can start using that one instead if you like.
