edit: just read above a previous build gave 103mb free
2nd edit: btw.. I have the hw3d.force=1 set so that may also make a difference.

Update: Something must have not loaded properly the last time I ran Android. I just rebooted and I too now have 104 megs free w/ everything else disabled. Please disregard my last post

FYI: I also have 3D hardware enabled in startup.txt. Using flyers' latest build, with the latest initrd that I installed manually as well (wasn't sure if flyers' was the latest or not so grabbed it just in case...)

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2

I had troubled booting up before with all other builds except 95-Civic, but today it booted up fine. There was a previous guy that said that as soon as it boots to Android and he sees the 3G data icon on top, it reboots again, and thats exactly what was happening to me. So today i put in my sprint sim card and also in Windows i changed from Global to only CDMA and then ran Haret, it did not reboot, i went into settings set to automatically detect my network and it worked, i have Android with Market and 3g working fine, i did take out my sim card again thou, dont remember why, but play around with it! I think am missing something ](*,) good luck!

I think the new kernel and modules messed something up because now it just wants to reboot. Back to square 1. lol

I haven't looked around much, but I downloaded the latest version to check out the memory piece.

The changelog mentions:
Try to take 17MB of SMI bank2 for userland apps. Lowers diam100's 2D pmem to 12MB

I forget to check what I had before.. Can someone who hasn't loaded the latest version htc-msm-android@20100310_213242

check out the amount of free memory.
To be consistent with what I'm comparing to,
Open -- Advanced Task Killer Free
Click on KILL selected apps (with all app checked including Advanced Task Killer Free)
Open is again (the only item there should be Advanced Task Killer Free)
What does it show as the amount of Available Memory (above the "KILL selected apps" button)

Mine shows 90M

100 free for me on earlier kernal

Latest initrd and rootfs, as well as kernel, and forced 3D HW graphics. Runs MUCH smoother now (very noticeable).

One question/feature request: For the kernel, can the feature found @ http://code.google.com/p/android-wired-tether/wiki/FAQ be built in? Or, do I need to do it myself for my kernel (i.e., due to legal issues)? And, is this the right place to post this (if not, mods feel free to move)?

Thoughts/comments appreciated.

You cannot charge in android right now since the battery reads full. It may be rebooting because the battery is dying. Then getting a quick charge in WinMo then dying again when you launch android ...

I changed the wiki port status line for USB in the wiki (link in my signature).. I originally copied "Only charging" from the Rhodium Topaz column, but I haven't heard of anyone successfully charge with the CDMA TP2s.

The status does change to charging when the USB cable is plugged in, but it doesn't actually charge.
