And again, that is great that you provide it for them. Please don't take it any other way, I just made a comment that I didn't agree with it due to it just keeps feeding people and they will never learn to do it on their own because they will just sit and wait for someone to feed it to them. That's ok if that's what they want. But again, they will have to wade through the posts to find updates like that, because I know MrPippy isn't going to come update Post#1 everytime someone posts a new zip. Enough of it, I normally will not participate in all the flames and politics in here, but you stabbed right at me and felt I needed to set that record straight. I am not at all flaming you, it is a great community here and I think we have come a long way. So please do continue to help out, but I still do feel people should learn to update themselves. Enjoy And if you notice, I maintain the FAQ. I talked with MrPippy the day that he created this thread and he went ahead and asked me to maintain that and that way I could keep info updated. I highly doubt MrPippy will come here too often without major updates due to all the drama. He is more concerned about developing and continuing to bring the great advancements to us along with the rest of the developers. |

Yes, hopefully you haven't done damage, but the charging circuit hasn't been written, so I don't think there is anything in the phone to tell it to stop charging if it is. So if you are going to do the charging thing while in Android do please make sure you only charge for so long. Don't leave it on overnight. These are Lithium batteries and are known to explode if they get too hot! |

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2
Please do. Or just wipe the thread and tell everyone to shut it unless they have a problem or an honest helpful addition. If the children want to play, there are better places suited for it than a friggin' Android development forum

Wirelessly posted (tp2: Opera/9.5 (Microsoft Windows; PPC; Opera Mobi/17992; U; en))
i just tried the wireless tether zImage and rootfs, module file and my tp2 still don't get charged. here how i did it. After i put all the new files on my mcsd card i noted the battery level on windows mobile (70%) then i plugged it in before i booted into Android. Noticing on the android screen lock still say its charged. Played with it for 2 hours while it still plugged in. Then I reboot it back into windows mobile and the battery meter showed 39% charge level. So i somehow think the charging situation is depend on what ROM you are using. My android charging has never been working since the first day i tried it. On the side note, my location service is working with the new kernel, rootfs, and module. i enabled WiFi but not connect to any hotspot. then in google map it show my correct location down to a very satisfying level (i tried it this morning when i drive around and it show correct cross street and location). Also on my google homepage it show correct city (orlando) that i am in. Last edited by yuyjust; 03-20-2010 at 03:40 PM. |
