Trust us. It was wasn't working yesterday.
You probably were seeing "cell phone tower triangulation" which can give a general location. It can mimic GPS but it is not actually GPS, which is MUCH more accurate.

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2

You sure it was GPS and not cell tower triangulation?

EDIT: OOps, everyone beat me to that one

Anyone up for a comparison?
You forgot to mention which sdcard you have (class and all)

What you were seeing was a combination of cell tower triangulation and google's evil wifi database mapping feature (if your wifi was turned on).

GPS satellite trilateration is not yet enabled with the current builds and likely won't be for at least a little while since the devs are focusing on sound and power management issues first

This is on ENERGY LEO Mar 7
This is using the cflynt posted kernal 2010317_005013-tssfix
This is my gummed up andriod including live wallpapers. and every download installed with crap running in the background.
Mem card is A-Data 8 gig turbo Class 6
Battery under 30%

*EDIT*
Something like this pi calculation is purely cpu speed. Not sure how good of a test this is. There will be alot of different bottle necks on running andriod off the SD.

*EDIT2*
Side note here
Maybe we should start our own thread for this.

QFE - This will only test the processor speed. And all TP2s, assuming the same hardware, should be testing roughly the same. SD card should have no bearing on this type of test.

True bench marks would also need to test IO performance, loading and unloading apps, memory tests, etc.

I vote yes to starting a new thread on benchmarking... and someone find us a more comprehensive benchmark program.
