As Android becomes more stabilized and we start using it as our primary phone how would we start keeping our settings, apps and other config data between updates? I assume at this point we have to delete all files when we do an upgrade or at least that's what I have been doing..

I try to send sms and it disconnects me from tmobile and says cannot send. Then reconnects me about a minute later, anyone have any luck? Or a fix?

You aren't trying to use the rootfs.img in Post #1 are you? That has specific changes to the RIL just for CDMA, it will prevent GSM from working, you should be using the public rootfs.img http://xdandroid.southcape.org/rootfs/ And most of this discussion is geared towards CDMA obviously, but I imagine the talk works on both! You might check the GSM thread to see if they are having issues: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=627997

Unless it is specifically noted, you simply replace the "zImage" file, delete the old modules file and drop in the new one.

Some 8GB cards seem to work while others don't. All I know is that my 4GB works while my 8GB doesn't. Both formatted the same way and installed with the same android.

Sounds like external audio as well as BT(with A2DP) are very close to being a reality. I would have to think that by the end of tonight, we'll have a new build with at least 1(if not both) of those functions operational.
