i opened the modules fix with 7zip and then opened the modules.tar from the latest build with 7 zip (separate windows) and dragged the 5 files from the fix into the newest modules.tar and saved it. Then replaced the modules on my SD card with this new one and replaced the zImage with the newest

Quick noob-like question, doe putting a pound symbol (#) infrom of a line in the startup.txt make it a comment.

I'm asking because I'd like to have a startup with two set cmdline, one that enables 3d acceleration and one that doesn't. Just wanting to test the performance of a few games I've downloaded but be able to quickly switch how I'm booting.

It does, just tested it and it works. Apparently need a driver though, games that ran crappy straight up don't run at all with the 3D switched on.

first time trying to boot android. I have the latest package dated 3-10-10...from the first post. I experienced a few force close...I tried to sync with my google acc'ts and was told that data network wasn't there. Was under the impression that data and voice is working...was there something else I need to do?

I am running a custom ROM built out of Cal's kitchen (6.5.X rom)

You may have to skip the initial google account setup and get into the phone before it will work. I usually get the signal bars but no 3G, and google won't sync. After getting into android and selecting setting/wireless and network/mobile network/ select automatically. After that, I try marketplace and my 3G icon usually shows up.

No sim card right?
