correct me if i am wrong but the data.img is just that an img file of your android OS and apps and settings etc.

If you dont want to reinstall everything , you might not want to wipe this from the sd card.

I don't forsee there being an issue retaining this for those that want to get back to where they were before the kernel upgrade.

I think you could / should keep your TS-calibration file as well.

You don't have "hw3d.force=1" in your cmdline statement. Any reason why not?

(Remove cmdline "hw3d.force=1" from your startup.txt to go back to the old settings and get your splash screen back)

I downloaded the file that you posted and when booting it gets stuck on
303.186729 r5:00000000 r4:00000000

Is this normal?

I thought the hw3d.force=1 enabled the partial hardware accel that has been implemented (at the cost of the splash screen).

I'd much rather have better performance than the splash screen.

What process did you use to get it over to your sd card?
