Something in ACL's patch just didn't go through to the repository, so we haven't been able to build a working kernel since that change was made.
Yeah, that's what i meant.. the powering of the display off and back on. I thought that's what is being work on along with other stuff. I'll just keep on reading and following.. and I would like to thank you guys for the hard work you put into it.

That is something ACL was working on, but I'm not sure where that got left off at. I also know that WisTilt has been working with Arrrghhh and me to test out screen dimming which actually directly works with the hardware and shouldn't need any modification for nand. Not sure when any of these changes will be coming though.

Truly, ACL has been the pioneer of porting the stuff over to the nand for us since there are some differences from haret. I do hope he is able to get his phone back into a working condition since I don't know of any other active devs working on this (except jonpry working with ACL on testing the .35 kernel).

Sure thing. 2.6.27 is the linux kernel we are currently using. 2.6.35 is the linux kernel the devs would love to get working on our devices. It would solve a lot of common problems and allow for much cleaner code. It also would give them a solid 2+ years of kernel improvements in one easy package.

I'm not really sure how feasible it is or if they are just messing with it to see how far they can get. That's one of those things Jonpry, ACL, and Phh would have to answer for you

Re: NAND Boot Testing - Keyboard Mapping Fixed, HW3D, and Battery Algo Update

I was about to post my reboot loop problem but i've figured it out. I tried everything from different sd cards to diff batteries and could not get android to boot on my cdma tp2. Turns out that as soon as I removed the simcard, all is well. Just in case anyone else is experiencing the same issue, give that a try.

Yes, and this is needed because during the initialization phase, it checks for the SIM card and marks it as a GSM phone if it finds one. Unfortunately, even the force cdma option doesn't override this.

Thanks ACL. I tested the autobuild, and it is working the same as the one I compiled. I did have it restart on me the first time I booted into it, but I think it thought the battery ran out or something weird.

So it now looks like we have a working autobuild that boots. Do we want to start committing some of the changes from haret and get that caught back up? I'd love to see us testing some of the things that haven't been committed yet like WisTilts screen dimming and stuff like that.
