Re: NAND Boot Testing - 01-07: Panel power on/off fixes
Not that I necessarily want you to commit it, but this is what I was talking about: Commit in linux-msm in Linux on Qualcomm's MSM - Gitorious
It's when Haret changed the power button mappings. Most people (including myself) did not like the change, but I understand why they changed it. This was never changed on NAND, but I was wondering if it would make any difference. I noticed that when I changed the RootFS to do the new button mappings, the screen turned on more reliably. The problem is, without having the commit in the kernel, the top power button did nothing, and the dial button was all messed up too. |

Try the new rootfs (or new package) and see if that fixes it.

Update: new rootfs working fantastic. ultra business bro, thank you and to clarify, you are saying with this 1-09 rootfs the panel is responding a lil better?? Last edited by MassStash; 01-10-2011 at 01:59 AM. |

Not the 1/9. I have a test rootfs that I had included with the experimental builds that had the navi pads enabled. That one is more responsive for me, but the button mappings are all messed up without having the other code in the kernel.

Re: NAND Boot Testing - 01-07: Panel power on/off fixes
Hmm.. Interesting. The end key turns the power off and on. I just installed angry birds for the first time to see how it would run. I was kinda jelous of my friends with iPods and native android phones that were able to run it. I have the one from that samsung phone posted in another thread. It runs really laggy, however it runs. =P Don't let your phone sleep while its playing that game... xD
It seems to have a better responce with waking after a sleep. I still have to download that clock sync app. xD Don't wanna be almost late to work again tomorrow haha. My key maps work fine on keyboard. For the record, I hit end to power off phone not the power button. Power button brings me to home screen. Just for the people wondering. =P Anyways, a good build nate =D |

I had some weird lag issues when I first got it up and running, but as usual, I drained the battery, then did the full charge after it died in Android, then booted in, and this thing is running like a dream. Wish I knew why it shuts down on first boot and runs so chunky sometimes until I do that. |

Re: NAND Boot Testing - 01-07: Panel power on/off fixes
Only issue I ran into is that it didn't like my data.img from the last build I was running. Once I deleted my data.img, all was good. Right now I'm trying out the system.ext2 that tiad8 posted, so far its great. I had some lag when I reboot, but once I called my voicemail, it ran like a dream. Angry Birds seems to run with the same lag as in the reference system.

Holding the windows key still unlocks the phone. Been many times my phone wakes up and redials the last number on my call log.
Usually happens when I sit down. :/ Wow the boot animation is quick and smooth. Very nice. Doesn't take 10 minutes to boot now (probably was the 3d driver versions) Last edited by coolsilver; 01-10-2011 at 08:25 AM. |
