Best ROM

If this is in the wrong section, please move, thanks. I just received my TP2 today, and I'm looking for a good ROM, the main two things I need to work are, Emails for work, push mail, and gmail, the rest doesn't matter, thanks. I'm ready to flash in 30 mins. Just want to make sure my emails are sent fast

Moved to TP2 forum. thanks.

You should try out a bunch of the custom roms on this forum and decide which one suits you best. Work email/push email works with most if not all of them. Good luck.

Re: Best ROM

Should I do a Task29 first or Update Profile, and will Task29 mess up that? I just flashed a Touch Pro 2 days ago and tried to activate it with SPrint. Didn't work cause I needed to Update Profile first, and then flash a custom ROM

Re: Best ROM

Sometimes the latest roms are not the best.
The lastest manilla files are smooth but seem to take more mem,
and the only rom have tried that has it all working nicely is the Sharkie rom.
There are also issues with messaging on some roms,
Also you may have to install arcsoft cabs for your carrier..

For least setup and latest files: Sharkie rom
For best battery, "Plutonium,Neodium,Titanium" roms

For most speed and app compatability:
A 6.1 rom cannot be beat.
got tired of lower ram, speed, and sometimes battery heat issues,
So I am now using the "blackoutrom",
which is a 6.1 rom with 2.5Sense cooked in,
but there are others, just look and see..
Also would suggest to overclock your unit regardless of rom.
And be carefull not to have the screen facing in, while in your pocket,
because of eventual digitizer(screen) failure.

what are these apps you speak of lol?? I'm super curious cuz i almost never used wm 6,1 and have never had a problem with any cabs ive tried to install. possibly a short list? If its stuff i use i might consider blackout rom too

Re: Best ROM

I tried out blackout rom today, didn't like it too much, i like the darker black theme it has than sprint rom but I like manilla 2.1 more than 2.5 lol. Mostly because I didn't see any advantages to it aside from gps location on weather tab but I don't travel much. I like the favorate friends more on 2.1 than 2.5 because I use it to remember where I park. I put floor 1-10 on it and I can pull up floor and have it there all day till I'm going to car. Manilla 2.5/3 just has squares so 1 doesn't stick out from the rest letting me know which floor I use.

aside from it's fake black theme, sprint's stock rom works well for me. There is a wm6.1 sprint basic rom (not stock) that worked well but I choose stock over custom rom because it added nothing to stock for me so I just choose stock

Re: Best ROM

here's the best 6.5 ROM otherwise u can't go wrong with a 6.1 rom, everything works in 6.1 and works very fast and stable. its just not as pretty.

Re: Best ROM

I use vin's plutonium ROM with host v1.5 running to give it that WP7 look and feel. Extremely fast, smooth, and stable with awesome battery, but to each their own. Sharkie's ROM is awesome too, but I'm not a big fan of CHT.
