Re: TP2 backlight setting is all screwed up & keeps changing
New update, the battery was dying on me after 6 hours of moderate use so I went out and purchased a new one. The new battery is behaving the exact same way.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

Re: TP2 backlight setting is all screwed up & keeps changing
to OP,
Your saying , after changing the backlight settings to dim display to one minute , it automatically gets changed back to 10 seconds ? Try hard reset . Which ROM you using ? try stock shipped ROM . It sounds like a registry error or file placement error . not sure what else to tell you without more info . |

Did you install any power managment or battery mod? Sometimes a hard reset is a nessessary evil. |

Re: TP2 backlight setting is all screwed up & keeps changing
I haven't anything to the TP2 in months. This just stated lately and the only thing I have done to the phone is to update the profile. Could this be the culprit?

Re: TP2 backlight setting is all screwed up & keeps changing
From a previous thread:
I've run into this before, and haven't figured out exactly what triggers this, but this is how to fix it. First set the time to what you want (1 minute, or whatever). Then go into your Registry: HKCU\Control Panel\Backlight\LockLevel\LockLevel - the dWord there should be 0. I've found it set to 1 or 2, for no apparent reason. This still happens to me periodically, and I've had my TP2 for over a year. Very frustrating, but at least it's easily fixed. See if this works for you.

I've had this problem in the past and it may be caused by S2U2.
