Sprint Is Full Of Crap!

I just opened my October bill from sprint after a month of using my new touch diamond that I purchased on eBay. Sprint charged me 57 extra dollars for equipment insurance and the shipping fee for the phone. I sent an email to a CSR to tell them about the error in my bill. This is what they sent back:

Thank you for contacting Sprint Customer Service.

I have gone through the account details and it states that you got the
phone from Asurion. And, later you filled up the online activation form
to get the phone activated on the account. This is the reason account
was charged $50.00 for the replacement and $7 for shipping fee. Thus,
the charges are valid.

Further, considering your email, I have forwarded it to appropriate
department to check for any discrepancy. I will get back one I receive
any confirmation from the team.

Thank you again for contacting Sprint. We appreciate your business

....I bought the phone from some dude on eBay and I have never called Asurion for a lost/stolen handset at all. What should I do?

You should forward them a copy of the confirmation on e-bay and the receipt from pay pal.

Likely the guy originaly purchased an htc diamond, claimed a loss through assurion (either fraudulantly or legit) and decided to sell the replacement prior to activating it which means that as soon as you activated the ESN the charges auto appeared on your bill instead of his

Re: Sprint Is Full Of Crap!

Problem almost certainly the responsibility of the eBay seller. Did you have PayPal insurance on the sale? File a dispute.

That's why I'd never buy electronics from EBay. Just not worth the savings in my opinion IF and only IF scams were involved.
